Can anyone tell me where the current sign-up location is for Jedi Training Academy at rope drop? I know it has been at Sounds Dangerous and some report it being at Hollywood and Vine. Anyone been recently?

TIA

Are they signing kids up before 9am on the morning EMH day or do we have to wait in line the until regular park opens? We are already planning for running of the dads to TSM FP while wife and kids go to Jedi Training sign -up.

I don't know about EMH procedures, but the sign-up last week was still right by Sounds Dangerous. Good luck!

How to sign up for Jedi Training:

NOTE: As of recently, DHS has been actually opening to guests (unannounced) at some time between 8:30 and 8:45AM (or so) on days when the published opening time is 9AM.
Don't know if this will be the new "norm," but I'd plan on arriving at DHS -at least- by 8:15 so as to be in a better position to sign up for Jedi Training and to grab TSM FP's.

On AM EMH days, I'd be there much earlier (if you are a WDW Resort guest)
as they have been signing kids at some point before regular opening time on EMH days.

So... arrive well before park opening time.
When you get inside, take the child with you to the sign-up area.**

You'll get a time for the child to return to the Jedi stage and participate.

**Sign-ups will be either just past Hollywood & Vine Restaurant, or at the Sounds Dangerous entrance
(on some days, even inside Sounds Dangerous building,) or at the Jedi Stage.
Look for the sign-up area, in the order of the above, until you find it.

On the 7th it was after 8:45 when they let us in - closer to 8:50.

we went first and rode TSM standby, got fastpasses for later and made it over to sounds dangerous to sign up for the 2:20 show

BUT

Crowd level for DHS that day was 1.5 I think

I'm pretty sure the age range is from 4 - 12 years old. The CM talks directly to the child when adding him/her to the list, and asks a series of questions including:

* How old are you?
* Will you jump off the stage? (correct answer is NO :thumbsup2)
* Are you afraid of the dark side?

Yes, the child does have to be 4. I had a friend whose son was turned down and he was a week or two weeks shy of being 4. So they are pretty strict about that, I think. And even at 4, with my little Star Wars loving DS, he was a little bit scared of Darth Vader. He did great, but told us afterwards he was scared.

We plan to go to DHS on Monday. DS turns 4 two days later on Wednesday, Leap Day. Do you think they would let him participate?

Question.... We have ADRs for H&V @ 8am will this work with Jedi Training sign up? If not, what time should I change the ADRs for?

If this is a 9AM Opening time "regular hours" (non-AM EMH day,) then prepare for the front gates to open for guests at some time between 8:30 and 8:50AM.

At that time, guests will flood to the Jedi Training sign up location.

If your child (or children) intend to sign up, one adult WITH the child (or children) who wishes to Jedi Train to the sign up area while others in your party continue to enjoy breakfast.
Then, after they have signed up, they can return to H&V to finish breakfast.

If there are not enough in your party to stay and hold the breakfast spots...

Move the ADR to sometime after the park opens (or cancel it altogether.)

Thanks! How many do you need to hold breakfast spots? We have 4 in our party (only 1 old enough to do Jedi Training). If we got there and then DH and DS left to sign up @ 8:30 could they come back to eat? Do you think it will matter that DS's on his MAW trip? He can't run very far or fast. We could put him in the stroller but they still wouldn't be able to get there fast. Hmmm.... I might change the ADR to a bit later I guess.

Thanks!

1- You'd be seated at your table for four. Two of you would just sit and keep eating.

2- Yes.

3- I have no idea, but I doubt that it would matter.

4- There is no need to run.

5- That is a much better idea.
And, if it were me, I'd dump that restaurant altogether.
It is over-priced and gets pretty "average" reviews (and that's being kind.)
Maybe just get some tasty bakery goods at Starring Rolls after you sign up for Jedi Training and ride Toy Story Mania.

Thanks! I've had a lot of people tell me they didn't like it but unfortunately DS really likes Jake and Oso and DD likes Little Einsteins so we would knock out a lot of characters in one place. I've read there isn't anywhere else to meet the LE either. :( Luckily at least DD is still free!

I was wondering about this too. Our breakfast @ Hollywood & Vine is at 8:15 next Tuesday morning. I think both my kids would want to do it.

Any recent reports on how Jedi signups on an AM EMH are working? I am basically blocking that whole EMH hour just for the Jedi signup(Wife and Kids) and aquiring TSM FP's(Me). Is that overkill? They are the top 2 items on our must do list so.....
