Current procedure for Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace?

I haven't done this party since there were different tiers (i.e. viewing from the green area in front vs. the usual seating in the Tomorrowland Terrace). Do you still get your table as soon as you arrive? Is it still first come, first serve or are the tables assigned again? Thanks for any info!

Can anyone shed some light on this?

As of September, seating is still first come first serve. A cast member checks you in and leads you down the path. You get your sparkling apple cider, then you pick a table. We arrived about 20 minutes early, and they still let us in. The dessert bar wasn't up yet, but ice cream, cookies, and beverages were available.
