I've been reading there ads that mention Developer or Builder credit. How does this work and what are you actually expected to pay per point at the time of contract? I am looking for 25 add-on points, not to have any booking advantage. My home resort direct purchase is on waitlist with low probability esp. Before the increase. Maybe it's worth looking at Poly as an alternative?

Also, many UYs appear to be sold out at Poly. With a 25 point add on, that would have to be added to a UY that you already own.

Does it only apply to the 160 point minimum buy in?

Something like that. If it is still being offered, it brings the effective price down to something like $163 a point. Those figures are just estimates, though, as the offer is not officially listed on their site.

Thanks for the clarification. I guess I’ll hold on to hoping my waitlist comes through before 1/17.

You have to buy at least 175 to get into the credits being offered at Poly. Minimum for CC is 150. At 200 points, CC is 3500 in credits, Poly is 2500. Effective prices 158.50 and 163.50, respectively...if memory serves.

This kind of leads to my question to owners of multiple "home" resorts...what do some consider the "minimum" effective points to own for home resort? I think I'm good with Poly at 200 points...and unless I could potentially add enough to someday pay the ridiculous prices for a bungalow, will plan on buying into other properties, likely with a minimum of about 100, preferably 200...unless someone explain to me how less makes sense. I'd appreciate any feedback.

It really depends on how often and how long you like to stay when visiting Disney. I am staying in a poly standard view for 4 nights this summer for 92 points. If someone plans on only going once every 2 years, but staying for 8 nights, then 100 points would do the trick.

I believe the poly incentive expired.

I spoke with a seller on friday and only 3 UY left. (dec, march, and maybe april?)

Picked up 50 for december and waitlisted 50 for Oct (current UY)
