Can someone please tell me what the current bounceback offer is--and if it includes dates in 2011? We are going in August, the week before FD starts--and would like to book for the same week next summer, just hoping that we might get lucky with a BB that would work!

The current BB is:

Get 20% off a Select Disney VALUE Resort: 1/3-1/14/2010, 1/18-2/11, 2/15-3/27, 4/11-7/1, 7/5-11/23, 11/28-12/24/2010

Get 35% off a Select Disney MODERATE Resort: 1/3-1/14, 1/18-2/11, 2/15-3/27, 4/11-7/1, 7/5-11/23, 11/28-12/24/2010

Get 40% off WILDERNESS CABINS: 1/3-1/14, 1/18-2/11, 2/15-3/27, 4/11-7/1, 7/5-11/23, 11/28-12/24/2010

Get 40% off a Select Disney DELUXE Resort: 1/3-1/14, 1/18-2/11, 2/15-3/27, 4/11-7/1, 7/5-11/23, 11/28-12/24/2010

Get 45% off a Select Disney DELUXE VILLA Resort: 1/3-1/14, 1/18-2/11, 2/15-3/27, 4/11-7/1, 7/5-9/30/2010 (Offer excludes 3 bedroom grand villas) * Note: another nice DISer added these dates for the Villas 8/15-11/23 and 11/28-12/16/2010)

You might get this BB when you go in August - and unfortunately it doesn't have the dates you are looking for next year. :guilty:

But then again last year the BB that started during the FD period was to be able to book a FD package a year ahead for the next years FD dates (the FD BB would be for Aug-Oct 2011 if it's the same), so depending IF they do the same thing this year and depending on what date they "expire" this current BB and start the FD BB you might get that one instead. I don't know if either appeal to you at all, but you might want to plan ahead to know what you'll do for both so you're prepared when you get there and see which offer you get. Remember to call extension 8844 from your resort room (before you check out) if you don't see any BB info in your room :thumbsup2

Wow :cool1: - this is great! So many 2011 dates! I'll certainly be looking for the BB card (or asking for one if one isn't there?) when we arrive in October. :yay:

DisneyJB---look again. The dates are all for 2010. Just had the same thing in our room at POP. Hopefully they'll add 2011 dates soon!

If we get a BB offer, I assume we must accept it before we leave the resort or lose it - is that correct?

If we aren't sure regarding our availablility, but we book it anyway, can we cancel it w/o a penalty/non-refundable amount?

Thanks, Julie

You are supposed to book bounceback before you check out of your room. I have read before of people calling shortly after checking out (like 2 days later) and being able to book it--but I'd plan to do it while I was there to be sure.

As for the refundable question--I'm not 100% sure of the restrictions there. I can tell you that a room-only reservation should be 100% refundable with no restrictions as long as you cancel/change more than 5 days before your new trip. A package deal is usually refundable up to 45 days of your date of travel, but there may be the issue of the "insurance" portion of the deposit not being refunded when you book a package. Disney automatically adds in trip insurance for packages--so I'd be sure to check that if you are planning on trying for a free dining bounceback. Hopefully someone else has the specific details.

We always tell them when we're booking that we don't want the insurance. It is not mandatory & if you specify that you don't want it you won't be charged for it. You can always add it at any time (ie. when you pay off your trip) Of course the CM will advise you that you should have it (and I'm not going to advise either way - we have insurance through our cc). But the pp is right - they will automatically add it for a package if you don't tell them otherwise and it is not refundable.

I thought I had heard of people getting specific bounceback offers via email before - does this happen? Or do you always get a room card? I think I also read here that there is a specific phone number to call to check while you are at the resorts?

Arriving tomorrow and I'd rebook if we got a decent offer, but want to make sure I'm looking in the right place and don't miss anything that comes our way. Any advice?

I'm glad I read that. I always take out a premium trip insurance on my entire trip since I travel internationally. I would never have thought to ask. Do you know what the cost is for the one Disney incorporates into the package or does it work on a percentage?

This was happening for a while, I think earlier this year if I am not mistaken. The silly thing was that you had to book before you checked out of your room but many people did not have internet access while there and would come home to find it in their inbox and it was too late. :confused3
