Current B2B procedure?

Hello all, we have an upcoming B2B on the Wish - on the last two cruises she does that will require pre-cruise Covid testing. While double-checking the Know Before You Go on DCL’s website, I noticed a section on B2B cruises that states guests *not fully vaccinated* will be required to test in between a B2B. No mention of fully vaccinated guests, so therefore those guests would not need to test? It gives no start or end date, so I would assumed this is the current procedure. Can anyone on a B2B now confirm? Maybe this means no packing between cruises? This would be so much less stressful. But I want to prepare myself if that’s not the case.

If you are cruising before September 23rd, you will need to test regardless of vaccination status. You will need to pack up all of your personal belongings and leave them in your room. They will not accept a telehealth-proctored test taken at any point prior to disembarking between your cruises (I asked). After you clear Customs, you will go to the testing tent across the path and they will complete the rapid test for everyone in your stateroom at no cost to you. If someone in your stateroom tests positive, they will take a new sample for a confirmatory PCR test.

ETA: We were on the B2B (or were supposed to be) August 26- Sept. 2, so very recently.

Thank you. I understand that has been the procedure in the recent past. However, when DCL updated their guidelines to end Covid testing as of Sept. 23 for fully vaccinated guests, they made distinctions on the “know before you go” between pre-Sept. 23 and post Sept. 23. However, this is what it now says in the “Back to Back” section - with no date attached:

Back-to-Back Sailings
Guests who are not fully vaccinated on consecutive, back-to-back sailings, will be required to complete a COVID-19 test between sailings, paid for by Disney Cruise Line.

Therefore, I’m curious if anyone who had a second leg of a B2B in the last few days did not have to test (and pack) if they were a party of fully vaccinated guests.

This announced change came out while we were already on board and on the first leg of our B2B. All guests must continue to test between sailings until Sept. 23rd as confirmed by multiple sources onboard (trust me, we asked).

I’m sure that was frustrating. And I know testing and packing could continue to be the case. The Know Before You Go says it was updated today. I don’t know if this was the change or not. But now their website specifically leaves out fully vaccinated guests from having to test on B2B. Of course, that might not be their practice. So I’m curious of reports from this week and next.

Well if back-2-back don't need to test I will find out from friends most likely who are on right now

We got our 90 day cleared letters approved so we are good to sail between our 9/9 and 9/12 sailings. I am somewhat relieved as I think the testing between cruises would be super stressful. We won't pack as we are staying in the same cabin and cleared to sail for the next cruise already. It would be nice if they ended the testing for the b2b sailers early. They can keep up the testing before the cruises before 9/23, but for those already on board and doing a b2b, maybe just end the testing between - it would make the experience so much more relaxing!

Bumping to see if any DISers were on a B2B second leg today, and if so if they had to pack and test.

The 9/5 Wish cruisers are showing letters on their back to back cruise for 9/9 - NO more testing between cruises if you are fully vaccinated!!! Woohoo!! No need to pack up between cruises if staying in same cabin :) This is wonderful and takes away so much stress for those doing back to back cruises!!!
Oh, how fabulous!! That will be so much less stressful!

Yay! We are on a b2b starting next Friday so this is awesome news. Just have to pray I make it through d23 this weekend without catching Covid and test negative on Wednesday morning before I board my flight. However, I did get my updated booster shot on Tuesday.

My daughter will be joining us for the second part of our B2B. She has an early PAT, will she be able to board with us?
