Current AP Lounges?

Are AP Lounges currently in operation in the parks?

If so, where could I find information on location?

Isn't this a sad state of affairs? No AP viewing areas either.

I have been a AP holder in the past and have never heard of these lounges. What/where were they?

There was a nice AP lounge in Epcot, at the Land, upstairs above the Garden Grill. Free soft drinks, cool, quiet. Nice couches to rest on. There was a reception desk that would make PS's for you or answer questions. I miss it.
There was a lounge at AK also, never used it, I heard it was overrun with kids.
We also had a VIP viewing area for Illuminations across from Italy and a roped off parade viewing area at AK.

Wow--I am totally bummed we never got to enjoy these areas. That's a shame they are no longer there. I am guessing its another Disney budget cut?

It didn't seem like a huge expense, but it was a nice perk! All it took was a couple of extra CMs & a self serve Coke machine. The viewing areas - a CM with a rope.
Now I'm pouting.

O.k. so through these boards we tell all the AP holders that when they are at WDW in selected locations they bring their disguised cooler filled with drinks and share. Or we stash a beermeister in one of the bushed filled with coke and only tell the location to AP holders--it could work, couldn't it?

I believe that these were actually corporate lounges that were vacant for a while, so Disney opened them up to their AP members. I guess they are back in corporate use now. The Land one was beautiful. The AK one was nice, but just seemed to be another room of the counter service restaurant.
