i never watched it, i was older than their target audience, and they scared me anyways.

I've definitely heard of them, but I'm not sure if we get them here for certain or not.

Okie, I went and did a search on the tv for you to see if we get them, and sure enough we do, but they're slotted in 6 minute blocks. For instance, 6:49 am - 6:55 am. That's a mighty short show, is that right?

My DS loves Bananas in Pajamas!!!! Although he doesn't get to see it anymore.

BiP were much more popular here when DS was younger (he's 14 now) so, I guess they lost speed, so to say. They did have all the paraphanalia (sp?) being sold here, besides their show. Can't say I've even caught a 6-minute showing of them though lately. (Which channel #1 DF?)

My kids LOVED Bananas in Pajamas....I thought it quite cute but the theme song would get stuck in my head for hours....lol

Much less scary than that purple dinosaur.....

I've seen merchandise, but never seen the show so I do not know if it aired here or not.

Perhaps it never had enough appeal

I discovered them when I was on holiday in England back in 1996. I was immediately entranced in the oddness of that program, and was so delighted to see them in America a short time later. They are an interesting phenomenon... I loved catching shows when I could and knew the theme song... I miss B1 and B2!

I know it was really big here when I was in college. Some of my friends watched the show all the time and they'd go get the merchandise from the show at Target. Not sure what happened though. It was a cute show though

They were pretty big around here about 8-9 years ago. I remember going to a Make-A-Wish event where they had the costumed character and the kids went nuts. (no pun intended, Nutsy! )
