Curious..Who's had success with waitlisting at 7 Months for BCV or BWV during F & W?

Pretty much the title. Our home resort is BLT. At the exact 7 month window we waitlisted for a 1 BR at either BCV or BWV. I only waitlisted once for two nights and it was a studio a few years back. We did get it. However, this time it would be for a whole week at the end of october...more curious what everyone's experience has been. We love BLT and would be fine if the waitlist did not come through, but kind of hoping it does. LOL

Waitlist success is dependent on list length. The more days you need the less your chances.

We gave up on waitlisting after having mixed results. We decided on selling the cows and buying at our favorite resorts to book at 11 months.

Bill- that's what I was thinking. I've been wanting to purchase s resale contract for BCV for this very reason, but hubby won't do it.... Oh well.....like I said, we are fine staying at Bay Lake. Would be nice to be so close to Epcot though.

We bought VWL and VGF for MK vacations and have decided on using our BWV contracts for Epcot/DHS vacations.

We also own BCV, BLT, and AKV but for different reasons those resorts aren't on our favorites list anymore.

You could buy an Epcot add-on and rent out half of your BLT points. By staying at one resort each year and banking during the off years, you can own half the points!

Don't give up! We waitlisted for a 1 BR at BCV a few years ago at 7 months. We had a studio there, but I wanted to surprise DH with a 1 BR-didn't have enough points for early booking. At 31 days, I finally confessed to DH "Well, I tried!" The next morning, our waitlist came through. The CM told me that it often happens close to 30 days as people cancel then in order to avoid the dreaded holding points.
