Curious: How many of us are on wait lists for October?

And what/when are you waiting for?

Just something to talk about while we wait for our ressies to come through!

I'm waiting for a VWL 2 br week of the 10th, and I'm sure I'm not alone! Not too worried though, OKW would be fine by me too!

Those who've done wait lists before, what's your success rate?

We have a one bedroom at SSR, but would like a 2 bedroom. So we're on the waitlist for SSR, BCV or VWL. We're doing a 2 bedroom at OKW in Jan, so we didn't want to stay there two times in a row. We only have four people, but wanted the extra space.

We're arriving Oct 9 and leaving Oct 16.

We have a 2 bedroom booked at OKW for October 16-23. We're waitlisted at both BWV and BVC because of the proximity to EPCOT. We're not interested in booking on a day-by-day basis so unless the entire week comes through, OKW it will be! Our home resort is BWV but we weren't members until April 2004 so we were well into the 7-month window before we could book!

Sorry guys, don't mean to rub it in but I have 7 rooms booked for October at BWV! I am taking all of my sisters (six of us and one Aunt) for a family vacation. We will have a group of about 25 ranging in age from 1 yr to 75 years in age. We are all going to West Palm for a wedding and then driving to Disney for four nights (my treat of course!). My family is just thrilled. Especially my elderly Aunt who hasn't been to Disney for over 30 years! She actually has some unused tickets from her last trip too!

I have six studios and one 2-bedroom. Five were booked 11-months out, standard view and 2 were booked 9-months out, preferred view. I thought possibly I would have a cancellation, but it doesn't look that way yet. If I do, I will be sure to free it up for you!

We are waitlisted for one night at BCV dedicated 2 bedroom, 2 queen option AND we are waitlisted for 5 nights in a lock off 2 bedroom at BCV and we are waitlisted for the same 5 nights in a dedicated 2 bed, 1 pullout...

It would suck if we had to move the last night.... but shame on me for not booking the last night quicker.

We have a preferred view 1-bedroom and are wait listed for a standard view for 10/24-10/29. We're also waiting to see if we can book a Beach Cottage (or a least a 2-bedroom) at Vero Beach for 10/29-10/31. I'm not holding my breath on Vero Beach (will try again after the 60-day mark) and am grateful we at least have something at BWV

I'm on the waitlist for the nights of 10/14 & 10/17 for a preferred view at BW & I'm also waitlisted for the night of 10/14 @ the VWL.... I'm beginning to think neither will come in

Confirmed the 11th and 12th.

Waitlisted for the 10th.

But I won't be too disappointed if it doesn't come through as we will spend all day fishing on the 10th anyway and probably wouldn't make much use of the Disney facilities that day. We're staying the 9th (and 10th if waitlist fails) at the Holiday Inn which is right on the beach.

I've got guests staying 6 days preferred view and another 3 in standard view; we're hoping to get a few more consecutive nights in standard view. In that case you can have our preferred view spots

We are waitlisted for a 1BR Pref view at BWV for the first night of our stay and the last night of our stay for week of 10/3. I just called to see if anything came through and no luck. I was told that BWV is completely sold out for that entire week for all units all views, all sizes with the exception of the night of 10/6. I am beginning to check into other options - maybe using our points at the Contemporary or something.

This is our first experience on the waitlist and normally I am more optimistic, but it seems really really booked this Oct. so I am a little bummed...

We recently booked a 2 bedroom at OKW 10/06-10/09. We also wanted the 10th but decided to stay near the airport that night as we leave early on the 11th. We are new to DVC and want to try all of the resorts so OKW is fine for us. We are not doing the F&W Fest so we did not try for BWV or our home BCV this time. Good luck to all of you waiting!

We're confirmed for a 2-br BWV preferred view on October 1 and 2, but are waitlisted for the 3rd. No big deal if we don't get it -- I have backup at the OKW, and it's one way to get clean sheets half way through the trip. ;-)

I'm just glad I can stagger back to the BWV and not drive back to the OKW after Party for the Senses on the 2nd.
