Curious about security lines

We are in line currently at Toy Story and the security line is a bunch of switchbacks off to the side. Is this normal for 8 am? We have come here our last three trips for the shuttles and have never had more than a few people in front of us.

We entered by DLH today and both security lines were backed up. We saw a couple of busses drop off large groups of teens. I think they might have been with Imagination Campus. Also, today was Celebrate Soulfully and there were a lot of choirs performing in the Fantasyland Theater. Maybe that is why security lines were longer than usual.

I wanted to report back on this. When we arrived at DL the Harbor security line was non-existent, we got there about 9. We had numerous issues with the Toy Story lot and busses this trip. It was almost like whoever was running the schedule was having an off week. Definitely not enough to stop us from staying down there but now we know that it's not always as easy as we thought so will be better prepared for lines.

When security is done at the TS lot, there’s usually little to no wait at the main entrance plaza.

Disneyland security is worse than the TSA. They literally go through everything - they even open up my men’s wallet, which is crazy - and do thorough body searches. They use to have lanes for people with backpacks/ purses, but ended them as too many people with backpacks/ purses were entering the line l.

WDW security isn’t bad at all… wish DLR would upgrade to the more modern equipment.
