oops, title should be Curious as to why Jiko and Citrico are 2 TS credits? I can't seem to spell when I'm typing fast!

I was just looking on allearsnet.com and running numbers on places I'm interested in eating for my May trip. I added the prices of appetizers, entree, dessert, drink, and tax for the restaurants I was interested in. I came up with the following prices:

Flying Fish: $65.50
Narcoosee: $88.93
California Grill: $70.82
Artist Point: $70.82
Yachtsman Steakhouse: $72.95
Citrico: $59.11
Jiko: $52.95

Then we have the 1 TS restaurants:

Tutto Italia: $65.50
Le Cellier: $55.88
Wolfgang Pucks: $51.97

So I have run the numbers for most (if not all) of the TS and SD options on the DDP and agree with you somewhat. The easy statement is that they offer better ambiance, but I also suspect that because they are the "upscale" at a resort (as opposed to EPCOT or DTD) that there is a certain amount of exclusivity to being at these restaurants.

Also, please remember that on the DDP, you now only get an entree, a dessert and a NA beverage.

Average costs of a TS credit for a couple of the restaurants that you stated is as follows:

Jiko (2TS) - $19.08
Citrico's (2TS) - $19.97
Tutto Italia (1TS) - $38.48
Le Cellier (1TS) - $30.17
Wolfgang Puck (1TS) - $26.34

BTW, the least value for a 2TS meal is the Brown Derby for lunch which is at $13.36 per credit.

Also, please remember that on the DDP, you now only get an entree, a dessert and a NA beverage.

True only on the basic DDP. On the deluxe DDP an appetizer is included at TS restaurants for adults.

Jiko and Citricos are considered "signature" restaurants. They are the "upscale" alternative at the resorts where they are located.

Sorry! My numbers were for the DxDDP. It just seems funny that Le Cellier and Tutto Italia are one TS and that Citrico and Jiko are 2TS. This past Dec I ate at Tutto Italia, Le Cellier, and Jiko and preferred the food at Tutto Italia and my steak at Le Cellier. Granted the atmosohere at Jiko was better (except for the crying toddler the couple behind me wouldn't take out).

Citrico's is way ahead of Le Cellier in the food, service, surroundings and ambience stakes. It easily qualifies as a 2 TS place :eat:

If you remember, Le Cellier did count as TWO TS at one point. It was about a year or so ago that it was changed to one TS. Jiko is considered a signature dining experience. It is an upscale restaurant similar to that of Narcoossee's or California Grill.
