Ok for those who do not know a cup cake cake is cup cakes frosting close to each other that make it look like a image on the cake. I had one for my birthday last night and the cup cakes are good and I would think the cake would not get dry and hard as fast as a normal cake.

:bday:

I've seen pics of these at a local bakery. They look nice and yummy! :teeth: I think it's a good idea.

They are that there great and with normal cakess drying out for us these will last more longer I will post a pic mine was shapped like a map off of POTC2.

Um, what? :confused3

OP is talking about a cake made of cup cakes. The cup cakes are grouped close together - then frosted on top so all gaps are filled and it's flat on top to look like a cake. They do it in a way so that it appears to be a small sheet cake from the top so you can get a regular cake design, names, Happy Birthday on top - when it's time to eat - you just start pulling the cupcakes apart.

Actually just ordered on of these for my duaghters birthday party on Sunday, never tried it before, but they look nice.

We had one for the 4th of July, last year. They are great because there is no mess with having to cut the cake and you don't need forks to eat them with. They were wonderful for the kids.

You will enjoy them I know at wal-mart that is what they did was group them close together.

Thank you for saying so clearly :)

We did this for dd's 3rd birthday. She had a 24 cupcake Cinderella cake from Walmart. It cost less than $10 and was good! I will try and do these from now on for my kids parties

Looks different than one I saw, it was a wedding cake, tiered, made of cupcakes, but they weren't frosted as one large cake. You could tell, from the top, they were individual cupcakes and I just didn't think it looked elegant enough for a wedding cake.

But the picture of yours is different, looks good with the frosting all over so you can write/design, etc. Very nice, and no cutting, great idea!

this is very cool. I don't like cakes but I like cupcakes. I think the reason is moistness and the icing to cake ratio is much higher.
