Does this free tour still happen?
Is it daily?
Any age limits?

TIA!

Free, daily (current start time: 4:15 pm @ Jiko Lobby), no mention of age limits.

It is worth taking. You get a few free samples of food too! When I went a few years ago we got to taste some bread with dipping sauces at Jiko, and some Zebra Domes at Boma.

We've done this tour a couple of times and found it fun and heard interesting facts about the African decor and culture that we would have never known on our own. The food samples were an added bonus. I will say that very small children would probably get bored, but might still enjoy some of the food samples.

Is it just for DVC members? Where can you find more info about it? What all do you actually get to see/do?

I remember when I took it, there was a baby in a stroller. And I don't remember ever being asked if I was DVC. I learned of it at check-in,in the activities list, and there were free tastings at both restaurants. We each got a zebra dome at Boma, and several bread services to share at Jiko. Great tour-I really hope it's still going on.

No age limits but it does last over an hour so our kids did get bored. Both times we got a bowl of soup, zebra dome and the taste of Africa at Jiko. You don't have to be a DVC member, anyone can do it

Do you have to sign up for the tour ahead of time? or is it you just show up? I know when you mention free food (even if it is just samples) people usually show up. I'm also guessing it is limited to a number of people.

When I went (2 times) there was no preregistration, and surprisingly once there were only two of us (both solos) on the tour. Once there was about 20.

No sign ups, just show up.

This is like giving for free the first dose of a drug, those things are so addictive that people will end up booking Boma for sure!
