We have planned to stay onboard for Nassau, and I was wondering do they sell Cuban Cigars on the ship? DOes anyone know if your wait staff goes ashore when the ship is in port?
Thanks.

Not sure if they sell them on the ship, but there were people selling them on the dock ---- "$100 Cuban cigar for just pennies" .... Have no idea if they were real or not. I recall reading somewhere on DIS that it is illegal to bring them to the US ... (or something similar to that) ... I'm sure someone else will give you more info -- or try a search for "cuban cigar"

I don't believe they sell them on the ship. They can be smoked on the ship. US law prohibits their import into the US or it's territories, and there are some significant fines for bringing them in.

All DCL staff gets shore leave, which varies by position and is on a rotating schedule.

When do you board your train? Hope to see you onboard, I'll be the one in the american flag swimsuit!

Carallard,
We leave Philadelphia 30th Street at 8:27pm Friday. Where are you boarding?

My DH purchased a Cuban cigar while we were in Nassau. There are shops just off the ship that are an easy walk. He purchased the cigar and we walked around while he smoked it. I would guess the walk to the shops is only a few min.

I don't remember if there were Cuban cigars on the ship. They may have them available in the Duty Free shop onboard, I just don't remember and I just checked with DH and he doesn't remember either but said that it is possible.
