Cub Scouts - Pinewood Derby Cars - UPDATED!

We just got back from my ds's PWD and he won best craftmanship for his rank! My dh and I didn't think ds's car looked that unusual or that outstanding, but I guess the other boys in my son's den liked it and voted for it! First trophy my ds has ever won for PWD and he is so happy! Wish I could post a picture, but I don't know how to put up a pic and gotta run to a Dismeet now!

Love the pirate ship! My DS's troop had the space derby last year and he won best design. I think it was just because we put stickers on it!
This year we are back to the cars. They are so much easier to race.

Congrats to you and your son for living through the race!

My nephew came in first! I just found that out a few minutes ago. He was first for his den and first agianst the other troops ( I guess, I had this infor from my Mom) He has 2 huge trophies and is very excited..he now goes on to race somewhere else, I have to talk to my sister to find out where. (they live in CT)

Ds just got his kit today and he races in a couple of weeks. Love the pirate ship! Don't know what he will make yet. We are doing a parent pinewood derby as a fund raiser, $10/parent and you can go up to 8oz. on your car. I'm going to enter and make mine the girliest car ever. Another mom and I were trading tips on what we are going to add to ours. Glitter and jewels anyone?

DS's Pinewood Derby was last Saturday. He won 1st Place Webelos 1.
