Good point. I've never been there, so I really wouldn't know where to suggest we meet. I think Mohegan Sun is completely smoke free which makes that a better option for me - secondhand cigarette smoke makes me really ill. I had to leave Jelly Rolls one night because of it. I've heard there's a lot of that at FW, but as I said I've never been.

I think everyone who's expressed some interest in the casino trip has my phone number. If not, you should PM me before next week. I have a concert rehearsal that ends early Saturday afternoon and a performance Sunday afternoon, so my original plan to make it a full weekend gave way to the arts. I think dinner/drinks Saturday evening would work for just about everyone who's planning on going. Margaritaville sounds fine, despite not having the hot tubs and slides of course .

Works for me - have been there many times, MS, but not to the new Margaretaville. Savorski store here I come

I was looking all over the web for a good deal yesterday, my head was spinning!!! Still trying to recover.

Unless iut change. We were at Margaritaville on Dec 28. The smoking isn't nearly as bad as FW and there are more smoke free casinos at MS but I don't think it is smoke free.

I'm pretty sure Margaritaville does not take ressie's but not 100% sure.

A good meeting place: In the center of the casino is a HUGE blue/white glass sculpture. (the internal entrance to the hotel is there along w/ kids quest just for a reference point). The bar area right next to the sculpture is where we usually meet peope who aren't familiar with the casino. If your do valet parking, just ask someone when you get out. If you take a service, ask someone when you enter the casino) I believe there is a cascading waterfall just above th bar area also.

You can not smoke in any of the places listed there and there are smoke free casinos (which are more closed off) but there is smoking inside the casino and the casinos are wide open. It's hard to picture until you are there.

It shouldn't be a problem though. Even though therre are some places you can smoke within the casino, there's a lot more where you can't!!

Well, just informed a short while ago that my services are required at CERN again. So I will have to start planning for that. Between that and my daughter's return to school this weekend AND the fact that the last ferry is at 7pm (what's up with that?) I am going to miss the meet this weekend.

But I will be back in time for the Magic Hat Mardi Gras, so that is in my plans. Maybe there can be another NE dismeet there. I can only guess that there will be a lot of adult beverages there!
