Csr

CSR is the only resort where I have been consistently UPGRADED from a standard view! Once to a king waterview room in Casitas 5 (fabulous views). Another time to a corner room in Cabanas - with a view of both the pool and lake.

I splurged and paid for a waterview for my upcoming trip as I am now spoiled.

We have now stayed at the CSR six times. We were seriously considering staying at the Polynesian next September for our 25th wedding anniversary because it reminded us of Hawaii where we spent our honeymoon. But after our sixth time at CSR last month, we have decided to stay with what we love best. We have never had a bad stay at the CSR. Every CM we have ever dealt with has been most helpful and in some instances going beyond the call of duty to help us. On this recent trip we celebrated my 50th birthday, and they sent a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates to the room for us to share for my special occasion (beside the button, balloon and GOLD key card I got when we checked in). We love the Dig Site pool, and the ability to go to the quiet pool closer to our room. We always request the Casitas 4 or 5 building and have spent the last two times in Casitas 5. Yes, it is a very large resort...spread out...but it has never taken us more than 10 minutes to walk to either El Centro (main building where registration, the restaurants and shop are located) or the main pool (okay...I do walk faster than most, but I slow my pace down for my husband and we did it in 10 minutes). The carts that drive around the propery have always stopped to ask if we want a ride (we have 99% of the time said no because we enjoy walking). We have not dealt with the CM's for luggage because we always rent a car and bring our own luggage to our room--especially since the kids no longer travel with us and we can handle it ourself. The rooms are large and the beds and pillows are very comfy. My only complaint would be the single sink in the bathroom and that is only because it drives me nuts that my husband is not the neatest person on the face of the earth when he shaves, brushes his teeth, etc. :rotfl2: We love the options of food we can get at the Pepper Market and have never had a bad meal there. I can't really say much about Maya Grill...we've only eaten there once for breakfast and it was years ago and I can't remember what the food was like. The landscaping is beautiful and I love being able to walk out my door in the morning or in the evening to see the sun either rise or set. I hope this helps.

We loved our stay at CSR last year--clean comfy room, great pool, friendly staff (except for one at the front desk:p), and Pepper Market was great!! We also had a great meal at Maya Grill. My DS's karate instructor just returned from the ATA Nationals last week and stayed at CSR. They had loved it the first time they stayed and still do...although there was some issues with the cleanliness of their room this time..all ended up resolved after they talked to the supervisor (I guess there was a problem with that particular mousekeeper). They even got comped a dinner--:thumbsup2 for customer service. She said otherwise there were no problems. I wouldn't worry--CSR is a beautiful resort--have a great time!!!:)
