CSR room question

Hello-

Finally after 2 days of booking and changing resorts 3 times we finally have decided to stay at the CSR. My question is we booked through a TA and I'm not sure if I want to request a certain area if I can call Disney direct or do I have to call the TA. This is the first time I have every used a TA, I usually book myself.

I also have another question . Should I request the Cabanas 9B? My mother is going with us and has a difficult time walking. This is the area that's closest to the food court and main pool, right? Also, is the bus stop close to this area?

I think you have to call your TA to make the request. You can fax in a request per the instructions at allears.net. CSR still accepts them. Cabana 9b is the closest to the main building, bus stop #1 and a short walk to the pool. Casita 1 is attached to the main building.

What a great site. So much info and it answered all my questions. This is my parents, sister and nieces first time to Disney and I wanted to pick some place really different and neat. I think I did it How often does Disney give guest their request? The times I've been to Disney, I've never had to request a certain area. I guess all I can do is try Hopefully Disney will pull through

Nothing is guaranteed but it is worth a shot. Don't let the section make or break your trip. They are all beautiful. You can always use the buses to get around the resort if your room is in the ranchos. I have been luck 6 or 7 times to get the cabanas though but that was usually during slower times. Last June I got the ranchos when I arrived later in the day.

I heard that if your special request is based on a medical need the hotel is more likely to accommodate. If your mother can get a dr.'s note stating her situation you could call the resort directly and then fax the letter to them.
