CSE-- Pg. 74 SATAN'S HAMMER, Ch.18, pg.160 "Goodnight Sweetheart" epilogue

I have my thoughts as to what happened to Nebo. I maybe way off base, but I had a hammer last year too.

So, regarding AoA, we had a test lunch (haha, they have been open since May, but this was for LM test stays) with my work group this week. We walked out of the food court to look at a room and I asked how far the LM rooms were before we walked there. Answer: .3 miles!! I decided to just drive my car around.

Interesting factoid I learned. Ursula is a huge Icon there. They start making them to scale from the movie in 6" models to start with and then expand them and do some camera work on a stick (don't ask) to get the guest perspective. Well, they found out that Ursula was too well endowed, and the guests couldnt see her face looking up, so they had to do some selective reduction...

Another factoid: the fridges are in the armoire, but the door looks like more drawers and guests get frustrated cause they cant find it

O Kitty here to say goodbye for a week.

okitty squared, don'tforget to try the breakfast buffet at least once, it's great!!! and walk THROUGH the casitas cection at night (not along the promenade.. as soo as you pass maya grill turn LEFT and walk through the whole area, passing the fountains, reflecting pools through the rotunda, etc.. .. man, I'm jealous...

Agreed---try the breakfast buffet! We loved it, even my very picky children walked away feeling stuffed!!

Great chapter and I think I know what happened! Should we set up a poll or take bets?

I leave in a week too and we are staying at AOA Lion King section. Your pictures got me more excited! Can't wait! Food court there looks interesting but if Nebo never had bulgur I doubt he'd go anywhere near Tandoori.

Have a great trip Irene, and no, never had Bugers or whatever it is, but I have eaten at Saana, not sure if I had the tandori chicken or not, hmm, I know I had short ribs,,,

I like the chapter Nebo! It's a great set-up chapter with what appear to be built in clues. It's like we are all reading a mini mystery.

When we went in late May-early June, AoA was just opening and we went by and toured what was open at the time. It is amazing to look at your pictures and see how far they have come in a relatively short period of time. Most of the area was still in the construction phase when we were there, but your pictures are great. Both of the kids said they want to stay there sometime.

So, I have a few notes from your experience on the joint family trip we have coming up. First, no connecting rooms. I could see this being an issue, not just for us, but my parents as well. A little space isn't necessarily a bad thing. I did ask DD who she would ride with and she said she will ride with Nanny, DS can ride with Poppy, and I can ride with DH and little buzz. We'll see how it goes. I think the real challenge is going to be trying to figure out how to blend our "tried and true" experience with the newbie inclinations of my parents. Maybe having the baby will make it a little easier to go with the flow.

good choice of words, new baby and go with the flow.

By the way I showed DD the picture of Mr. Nebo. She said "He looks like Poppy!" My dad has a mustache that he started growing when I was a baby, so I have never seen him without one. It's a trademark! ;)

Does this mean I don't have to look like Ponzi anymore?

I have to say that I agree with you on multiple rides of BTMRR and Splash. I like a little break between BTMRR especially. The bumps and jerks are rough!

I'm anxiously awaiting the next chapter Nebo! It's impossible to predict just when and where "the hammer" is going to strike.

What, do you get pain by the post? Haven 't quite mastered the multi quoting thing yet?:lmao:

My Grand Floridian, if you are referring to your I-4 incident, you would be incorrect concerning myself.

That's interesting. What is LM?

My guess would be Little Mermaid.

Boy, when I go brain dead I go all the way.

T-Man wins a prize!
Little Mermaid is the value section of AoA, opening today in fact. I think it's $5 more than Pop, which is $5 more than All Star

On that you are correct on all counts.

The prize is up to Nebo. Good luck! :rolleyes1

Right.
My name is Steve.

Ok, going back to work on the next chapter, actually, it's almost done. And boy, are you all going to hate me when you're done reading it.

What!?! Another cliffhanger? Are you having fun yet, Mr. Nebo? :groom:

Sounds like a mostly pleasant day. :goodvibes
I'm still not liking where this is going. :sad2: I hate it when my friends are hurt or become sick, and I certainly don't want them sick or hurt in our magical place. :guilty:

And for the record, posts are coming at a good rate, is there such thing as posting them too soon? :confused3

Great post! :)

We're in a Little Mermaid room right now, and it seems more like a mile to the food court :rolleyes1 especially when you make a wrong turn out of the food court and walk all the way through cars land before you realize you went the wrong way

We're in the Ursula building, so I knew exactly what you were talking about! And thanks for the tip on the refridgerator, we hadn't found it yet!

Post it! I can't take it anymore. I am betting it is somewhere between "Nebo was air lifted to the closest trauma facility", and "Nebo wil have one whiz-bang of a bruise". Put us out of our mystery.

O Kitty, have a wonderful trip and keep the place nice for us...we'll be there in two weeks!! :cool1:

Love the AoA pictures, Nebo. Thanks for taking the walk and the pictures. We may be staying there next trip, if we have my niece with us. Dreading the next chapter, but interested to know what happened.

Ack! I haven't even looked at the last chapter! My job finally is going to go back to normal (Do not ask about today... just... don't) and I'll be reading and commenting tomorrow... then I've got to read T-man's, Shan's... oh, and I have no idea who else.

Ha! I'm so far behind that I don't even know how far behind I am!
