CSE-- Pg. 74 SATAN'S HAMMER, Ch.18, pg.160 "Goodnight Sweetheart" epilogue

No, worse, it will be softball mom with the really inappropriate girlfriend stories to share. :scared1: True story. Met her in Space Mountain this past June. I was glad that the line split. I like visiting with my fellow guests but she was my bff for that long line for too long.

Yeah, you guys were way too close. I think she told you her life story. :lmao:

That chapter was so well done that I actually started to feel more and more nervous the longer I read. Like the feeling you get watching someone walk into the woods at midnight in a horror movie.

Jay

I felt exactly the same way! {shiver}

"Finally a guy comes up, with the proper tool.

A small envelope.
There is a way of bending the envelope to make it go around the corner and slide the chain out of it's rack. I didn't see this done myself, Todd told me about it.

Took him 30 seconds, that's how secure your deadbolt is in your room should you think about it. He says it happens all the time, but it sure didn't seem like it when we first called down, and if so, why don't more employees know how to do this? It was like they called him and woke him up at his home in Ocala to come and open the door!"

More likely, they had to spring him from the state pen.

The nice things about the interior corridors at AofA were that it was super-quiet, and the critters stayed outside.
Great chapter. Worried about what's coming up next.

When you said you made "them all" a margarita..I hope that didn't include Jackson.;)

I saw the Mayo clinic for chips coming a mile away...but it still made me laugh.:rotfl2:

So take comfort, I did the same thing with my door on my trip with my brother and SIL before kids. Luckily, it only took me one person to get the door opened but it was embarrassing.

I'm so sorry about the way you felt about Jackson not spending as much time with you. I felt something similar last fall with my niece and nephew...I had visions of skipping down Main Street with them but reality was that they were stuck like glue to their parents. Still a good trip, just not like I imagined.

Jill in CO

You hit it on the head, you picture in your mind how you think it will go, and then,,,,,,,,

nebo, you are getting way too good at cliff hangers for your own good. But that was hilarious. Great chapter. Glad you are still getting the rocking chair shot.

The rocking chair is m andatory for all us Dissers, not just me.

You mean to tell me I did better on this one than I did on Secret Ponzi Man? :cool1:

And I didn't even have to work as hard on this one. The words of the song were pretty much already there. Just change a few words here and there. Heck, I didn't even have to change the title on this one that's how close it was. :lmao:

Just caught up... comments later. But...

To answer BB (bunny boy). No.

Nothing beats Secret Ponzi Man. And gee, thanks, now it's stuck in my head again!

Hi Nebo another great chapter you should start a new career writing suspense novels as you certainly know how to leave your readers longing to read the next chapter unfortunately for yourself it is the real thing and not fiction. But I am sorry for what happened as it spoiled yours and Smidgy trip with your son & grandson .Still you have the trip in December to look forward to. When I am there next month I will be sure to get my photo taken in your chair as it is now compulsory because the great man has decreed it to be.

OMG, I am on pins and needles wondering what is going to happen.

I loved your AOA pictures. They were just starting to paint the outside of the buildings when we were there at Christmas.

Here I thought I was doing something puttting the extra lock on and it can be opened with an envelope.

Waiting for the next chapter.

that's too bad about Jackson- I can understand, but with him being so young, I'm surprised he wasn't choosing a new person to ride with every time.

Oh boy, I really, REALLY hope you're right about that, Steve. But I've got a bad feeling. :worried: I'm just glad that you're OK now.

-Bob
Thanks Bob, yeah, I'm all better, but "impact" site is still a tad sore to the touch.

You really set the mood right for whats to come.

I almost feel guilty knowing what happened.

I think you had the last of the crazy crowds that day cause they really fizzeled out about a day or two later.

And you should probably mention how hot it was, like close to 100.

Ok, I posted, without even a reminder.

It was almost a hundred.
Ok?
The first few days there the crowds were crazy, they really dropped off as August wore on, but the first few days were value season now, so with that moved up, everybody that usually has to go during summer waited to book a value rate. Which is what we did with teacher Kim, normally they can never get a value rate before school starts.

I don't think any of us will be saying "Thats it?" Any injury that kept you from enjoying WDW with your grandson is horrible. I know you hoped for/looked forward to this trip for years. But the cliffhangers are KILLING me..... :faint:

Pssst, wanna know a secret? They may be killing you, but they are fun to write. :p

That chapter was so well done that I actually started to feel more and more nervous the longer I read. Like the feeling you get watching someone walk into the woods at midnight in a horror movie.

Does Jason from Friday the 13th jump out of the Space Mountain queue in a hockey mask and holding a machete?

Jay

Thanks Jay, I'm a Freddie fan myself.

That's our Nebo... Die Hard!

Attagirl Cindy, got the John McLaine quote!

Um, did you start this conversation with somebody else and now you're going to finish it with us?
I have no idea what you are talking about. :happytv:

Great update Nebo. I love all the AoA pics. I hear ya on the suites thing though. As a family of 3 we have little use for them, and are pretty much shut out of AoA as well as a couple of mods. :sad2:

Yeagh, guess we're stuck in the Little Mermaid section,, meaning long walks too.

At least the connecting door issue made for a great story! May not have been the best night, but I assure you that we enjoyed it.

Again, what a stupid design.

Yay! Jackson at the MK!!!!! I feel for you guys. Maddie won't ride with anyone but me. I saw the hurt looks on her grandma and dad's faces the whole time. Really can't make them do something they don't want though.

Do you mean for us to believe that Lucifer's Hammer dropped at the Magic Kingdom???? This makes me want to cry! What the heck happened? Taken out at the knees by a super-deluxe-really-expensive-double stroller?

Pffft. The strolle debacle is old news, been there, done that, gotta keep coming up with new and creative ways of self defacement, pain, and embarrassment, that 's why I now have my own set of Imagineers working round the clock!

Thanks for the great pictures of AoA. It's weird to see a value resort without outside corridors...

Sorry your first day with Jackson wasn't going like you expected.

Really, if it wasn't for th artwork and drawings on all the buildings, they would really, really, look bleak and uninviting.

I felt exactly the same way! {shiver}

My chapter made you shiver? Great, you mean I can do SOMETHING right?
Then you are going to really hate the next chapter, especially the ending, well, all of you are going to.

Great chapter. Worried about what's coming up next.

Are these rooms that quiet? One of the noisiest rooms we've ever had was near the elevator at Wilderness Lodge, the sound just echoed down the hallway.

When you said you made "them all" a margarita..I hope that didn't include Jackson.;)

Of course not. The salt's not good for him.

I saw the Mayo clinic for chips coming a mile away...but it still made me laugh.:rotfl2:

Always loved that from Airplane! "Captain, you have a Mr. Ham on line 5, and the Mayo Clinis is also waiting to speak with you."

Peter Graves: "Ok, give me Ham on five, hold the Mayo."

I amuse easily.

Geesh, what is this great man crapola?
Oh wait, Smidgy just loves it when people say things like that, so keep it coming!
But you alos have to POST the rocking chair pictures, and right here is the best place of all to do it.

Hey, Uncle Shirley is back, did you bring a note from your bartender?

Oh my Lord of the Rings....I love that stuff! I'm not big on chips but that stuff is dangerous!

Guess what I ate this afternoon Winkers? Yep, that chip mix crack again. :sad2:

My mom bought us a family size bag. Ha, family size my foot. Every size of that stuff is snack size to me and it literally has nothing at all to do with being pregnant. Sigh.....I had a healthy snack of a few apple slices before that fricking bag started calling my name. :rolleyes1

Good chapter, but I will admit that I skimmed through to the end to see if "it" happened in this chapter. When I realized it did not, I settled in and read the chapter at a more leisurely pace. :goodvibes

You're not the only one Kathy. I'm doing the same thing!

Well Shan, your well written chapter just desolved into a

"Help, what am I doing here post", and you know what?:]
\
I think I'm going to post under Smidgy's name from now on,,, yeha,,, yeah,,, I'm safe then, it can't be traced back to me! Cool, I like it.
Hold it, wait, can I post under Ponzi's name? That would be a lot more fun, and maybe then I can sue him for stealing my Iditarod. I mean Dentalty. Ok, give me back my Identalty,,, NOW,,, and I mean it. Good night.

How is it that Nebo at 2 am makes more sense than Nebo at 6 pm? There are way less Nebo word re-workings! Just kidding Nebo! ;)

Up until this morning, I was thinking, "How bad could the Hammer be? Nebo's still able to write a TR." Then I saw those last 2 posts, and I think, "Gosh, he's in bad shape. Maybe I should send flowers!":flower3:

This cracks me up!!! :rotfl2:

Well I do believe that is the demographic that he was aiming for. At least, I assume it is.

I see where you're going with that assumption, or should I say hope Pkondz, I really do. I would like to think that as well. But riddle me this my friend......how many seven year olds do you think are reading this TR? Nope, the old "Poop de doo doo" was aimed at us. :sad2:

And pratell, I have to say, I got that at first read, but there have been many others that I just didn't and I admit I've googled many a word. You need to give yourself a break on this one......you may use the catchy phrase, but the real question is......do you ever see it spelled that way in your head when you use it? DS is in second grade and he has spelling words to memorize every week. He also has challenge words to memorize. If he spells them correctly he earns a prize. Anyway, this week his challenge words were absence, celebrate, automobile, and deceive.

What do you think are the odds that Nebo would spell all of them correctly? ;)

I like the chapter Nebo! It's a great set-up chapter with what appear to be built in clues. It's like we are all reading a mini mystery.

When we went in late May-early June, AoA was just opening and we went by and toured what was open at the time. It is amazing to look at your pictures and see how far they have come in a relatively short period of time. Most of the area was still in the construction phase when we were there, but your pictures are great. Both of the kids said they want to stay there sometime.

So, I have a few notes from your experience on the joint family trip we have coming up. First, no connecting rooms. I could see this being an issue, not just for us, but my parents as well. A little space isn't necessarily a bad thing. I did ask DD who she would ride with and she said she will ride with Nanny, DS can ride with Poppy, and I can ride with DH and little buzz. We'll see how it goes. I think the real challenge is going to be trying to figure out how to blend our "tried and true" experience with the newbie inclinations of my parents. Maybe having the baby will make it a little easier to go with the flow.

By the way I showed DD the picture of Mr. Nebo. She said "He looks like Poppy!" My dad has a mustache that he started growing when I was a baby, so I have never seen him without one. It's a trademark! ;)

I have to say that I agree with you on multiple rides of BTMRR and Splash. I like a little break between BTMRR especially. The bumps and jerks are rough!

I'm anxiously awaiting the next chapter Nebo! It's impossible to predict just when and where "the hammer" is going to strike.

O Kitty here to say goodbye for a week.
Off to CSR in the morn.
I have the postcard addressed packed---just have to remember the stamps.
