CS meals are big

Just back from a 8/20 - 8/27 trip to Disney on the Dining Plan. We used our CS meals for lunch each day. Our family consists of DH, DW, DD11, and DD9. Although we are a family of 4, we only used 3 CS credits each day. We wanted to save enough credits for 2 CS meals our last day.

Before our trip I was a little apprehensive about whether we would get enough to fill us up at lunch by using only 3 CS credits for the 4 of us. Let me say the answer was a resounding "YES". Every place we went had large portions and meals to the point where the four of us could not finish off the 3 cs meals a couple times. The meals were all very good (for counter service) and included desserts too.

For the record, here is a list of the places we used our CS credits:

Sunday 8/21 - Tusker House (AK)
Monday 8/22 - Electric Umbrella (EPCOT)
Tuesday 8/23 - Backlot Express (MGM)
Wednesday 8/24 - Typhoon Tilly's (Typhoon Lagoon)
Thursday 8/25 - Boulangerie Patisserie (EPCOT France)
Friday 8/26 - Pecos Bill Cafe (MK)
Saturday 8/27 - Earl of Sandwich (DTD)
Saturday 8/27 - Sassagoula Floatworks (POFQ)

I have similar comments about the TS meals, but that will have to be a different thread.

I'm glad to hear that! We have a similar plan to buy 3 CS for 2adults and 2kids. I was also a little worried because I've noticed hoe DS8 can easily eat as much as I do!

Since we used 3 CS meals for the 4 of us, we always ordered 3 different items at each place. this way each of us could find something we enjoyed. There weren't any of the meals where we we went away saying it was bad or we would not eat there again. Of the places we went to, though, I think we would rate Tusker House, Boulangerie Patisserie, and Earl of Sandwich as places where we thought the food was a bit better and we would want to go back.

Thanks for your report. At the Boulangerie Patisserie what were you able to order for dessert? could you choose from anything they had or did they limit you?

We too had a very hard time using our CS meal credits this last week. We ended up having 6 CS meals to try and use yesterday before flying out last night. We found that Cosmic Rays was especially filling with the half chicken/half rib meal that came with potatoes and carrots. The boys got the 2 chicken drumstick meals and they too came with potatoes, apple sauce and carrots. We also got dessert on top of all that. I wish you could trade in 2 CS meals for a TS meal!

If I remember correctly, you could choose any dessert from the top row of the dessert case. So it did not include everything, but there was still plenty of yummy desserts to choose from!
