DH and I are really looking forward to having free dining next week! :woohoo: We've never been on the dining plan before so this will be a treat! We've got all of our ADR's in place, but I'm still looking for CS dinner ideas for MK. In the past we've enjoyed Columbia Harbour House and may go there again, but it could be fun to try something different. At the parks, we usually gravitate to non-fried options: soup, salad, salmon, roast chicken, but will eat the occasional burger, too, if it's not too heavy on the stomach. Any ideas? :scratchin

I think my DD had a taco salad at Peco's Bill and really liked it.

Thanks for the idea, dminnie. :)

The other thing I have to be aware of is the closing times of various CS locations and food carts, so I don't pick a place that has already shut down for the night. Some of them close early, especially during "low crowd level" times. Does anyone know if there is a good web page where I can find out the hours of CS restaurants?

If you are looking for a healthier counter service option, check out the rotisserie chicken at Cosmic Ray's (Tomorrowland.) It comes with mashed potatoes and a vegetable! W'eve eaten that several times over the years and it's a nice break from the burgers and fried foods. (Although we love Pecos Bills and Columbia Harbor House too!!)

On the monorail line imo the best CS is Captain Cooke's at the Poly.

Great suggestions!

The mention of getting a Dole Whip for dessert reminded me that since I'm on the Dining Plan with dessert included, the Counter Service that has the best dessert options just might be my deciding factor! :cake: :rolleyes1

We normally do Cosmic Rays since they have such a different selection of things. I think they have grilled chicken, seems like I have had that there before.

Easy to get to the GF. First boat stop from MK, and one stop to MK on the monorail. Gasparilla Grill at GF has lots of options, from custom made chopped salads to burger and fries.

Ooooh, I hadn't thought about Gasparilla. I think I'll check out their menu right now (and their dessert options, too, of course! ;)) Thanks for the tip! :wave2:
