i have been reading that many people don't like CS at MK...can i hear some postivie opinions and some ideas for good CS choices, please?

even good snack ideas that are filling would be great to hear also!

Are you sure about it being the MK, because most of the negative CS comments I've read about refer to the places in DHS. So far all the CS places I've tried at the MK were pretty good, with my favorites being Columbia Harbor House, Pinnochio's and Pecos Bill.

I really like CS meals at the MK! Pecos Bill's for double cheeseburgers, Columbia Harbor House for the tuna sandwich, Cosmic Ray's for the chicken and rib combo. Yumyumyum. :) And, of course, a Dole Whip Float from Aloha Isle.

You've come to the right place!!

Filling snacks? Dole Whip Floats are filling arent they? Funnel Cakes too?

On Main street you have Casey's Hot Dogs - I've read the corn dog nuggets were on the snack list - but hot dogs are on the CS plan...

Main Street Bakery has lots of treats on the snack list - sometimes sandwiches - light tomato buffalo mozzerello sandwiches... we all mourn the loss of the French Toast Loaf tho...

Now if we are touring and are near the Tomorrowland we just do Cosmic Rays - mind you there are several windows with different entrees - so it can be confusing - Chicken, Sandwiches, Burgers, all good

If we are in the adventureland or Frontierland area - we'll do Pecos Bills not a lot of choices, but good burgers just the same - some BBQ items..

We try and always be near the Haunted Mansions to go to Columbia Harbor House for CS!!! Of course fried fish, fried chicken strips is the main star - great salads - great portions!

I will admit after visiting Pinocchio Village Haus we'll avoid that one from now on!!

yeah...i was just reading about how someone wants to upgrade from CS dining plan to reg. DP cause they don't like the CS at MK :confused3

glad to hear all these excellent choices :thumbsup2

Agree with the OP's - Columbia Harbor House is great (sit upstairs if you can). Cosmic Rays is good too with huge portions - the turkey wrap is ginormous (sorry - I have to use my favorite word as much as possible:lmao:) and definitely enough for 2. And the corn dog nuggets at Casey's are delish, though I'm thinking they might not count them as a snack anymore. The only MK CS that I'm not a fan of is the Village Haus (sp???!) - the CS pizzas just aren't my thing.

My sister and I are headed next month with the regular dining plan - we are trying to split one CS meal for breakfast and lunch, so I love to hear about the CS meals/restaurants that have big portions.

MK actually has my FAVORITE CSs! Columbia Harbor House and Cosmic Ray's! They are both great IMO! As previously said, do try to sit upstairs and either look out over HM, or on the overlook between Fantasyland and Liberty Square. We ALWAYS make a point to eat here at least once during our trip (last time we did a couple of times). My sis and I sat up there during spring break this year and watched the line for HM get longer and longer. The CM kept pushing the "Line Starts Here" sign back (it was a VERY busy time of the year to go). It was so nice and quiet:goodvibes, that was our "refuge" in the hustle and bustle of everything.

I also love Cosmic Ray's for dinner (usually a little bit later of a dinner). We like to sit in the dining room where Sonny Eclipse performs (cheesy but fun:laughing:). We've eaten at Pinocchio Village Haus once or twice in years past, and enjoyed getting a table at the window which overlooks IASW, but haven't been to it since they have a new menu (pizza now I think?). Also eaten at Pecos Bills, which was okay too. Both Pecos Bills and Cosmic Ray's have "fixins bars".

We have SOO many snacks that we like in MK too! Most FAV is Aloha Isle:lovestruc, where you can get Pineapple Dole Whips:cloud9:, followed closely by Sleepy Hollow and the wonderful ice cream cookie sandwiches! DH and I also love to get cinnamon rolls at the Main Street Bakery, which are HUGE! Of course you can't miss the Churro Wagon in Frontierland:woohoo:...I can go on, but you get the point. My sister and I actually did the QS dining plan over spring break and paid for two TS meals (one breakfast at Cape May and one lunch at Whispering Canyon which were both WONDERFUL!) and really liked it! We actually felt free to come and go as we pleased without worrying about what time our ADRs were. It's a nice alternative.

The only CS spot in MK that I will eat at is Columbia Harbour House. I've had poor experiences with the rest... I think CHH is actually very tasty and not an absolute madhouse.

Love, love love pecos Bill:love:.I think there fixen bar Is the best thing since slice cheese:rotfl2:.Its been awhile but we have try pincho villiage,I think it was ok:confused3 but have not try cosmic ray,or CHH or hot dogs on main street:scared1:how could I have missed that?????.Next month I will have some diffent catching up to do.

I like all the CS places in MK! PB, CHH, CR, Caseys I havent tried PVH yet but now that they have new things on the menu I think I might! HS is the only place we seem to have problems with CS, we ate at TSPP and it wasnt bad, I wouldnt rush to go back tho. One day I will try ABC Commissary but for now I stick to TS there..PT,SCI Fi and MM

We thought Cosmic Ray's was great-- perhaps our best CS meal, though a bit of a madhouse. Columbia Harbor House on the other hand was just OK, nothing to write home about.
