Crystal Suites

When my mom and I were planning our third Disneyland trip in the 90's we read about a fancy hotel in Anaheim called Crystal Suites and I would like to know if anyone remembers it or stayed there? From what Mom and I read about Crystal Suites they were the fanciest of hotels in Anaheim and Mom had always wanted to stay there but we never did. Best Western later bought Crystal Suites and they now called it Best Western Crystal Suites before they closed. What hotel stands where Crystal Suites used to be and why did Crystal Suites close?

Looking on google it seems Crystal Suites was at 1752 S Clementine in Anaheim.

It is now LaQuinta Inn and Suites Anaheim.

I didn't move to California until 2009 so unfortunately have no insight why it closed.
I tried multiple searches and unable to find more information.

Where Crystal Suites used to be is now LaQuinta Inn And Suites Anaheim? As I said in my opening post my mother had always wanted to try Crystal Suites from the moment we read about it in a magazine and from the pictures the rooms looked very nice. But we looked into Crystal Suites while planning my family's Disneyland trip but we read the rooms were pricey. Why Best Western later bought Crystal Suites I think was simply so they could add another Best Western to Anaheim. Because in Anaheim hotels and motels it seems that Best Westerns are the king hotel of Anaheim and Crystal Suites seemed to be a smart hotel for Best Western to buy

Again I googled Crystal Suites Anaheim and came up with the above address. When I cross referenced the address is came up where La Quinta is now.

I can't speak for how valid it is but that's literally all I saw.
