Our trip is May 3 - May 14, 2005.

What meal do you suggest for character dining at the Crystal Palace:
* Breakfast
* Lunch
* Dinner

Why do you prefer one over the other?

Thanks!

my preference for character dining is breakfast.

You can eat a nice meal, get a full tummy to hold you over until dinner (maybe get an ice cream or popcorn at lunch time if you need to pick) and meet the characters to get you all psyched up for a day of magic! It's also generally the day you'll be touring the Magic Kingdom, and if you take care of it in the morning, you don't have to worry about timing everything else around your priority seating.

We always start our trip buy seeing the parade at MK and then straight over to CP for an early dinner. We notice the park seems to empty quite abit after the parade. We take the train over to Mickey's toontown. We usually walk onto every ride, get to see Mickey and maybe some princesses in the tent. We stay at the park till close and then back to our room for a swim. We are very routine and this has always worked for us. The dinner at CP is one of our favs and we eat early to cover lunch & dinner that 1st day.

We have eaten at the CP for lunch twice & loved it. that is the only meal we have eaten at CP. But we have had Breakfast at Cape may twice & Ohana once & Chef Mickeys for dinner once. I must say we really liked the lunch meal the best, I thought it was a nice break in the day. My children do lunch the best of most meals. I think it work for us because it mellowed the kids out a bit then we enjoyed the rest of the day. After lunch we out & got a spot for the parade.

I really enjoyed lunch. To me it is a great savings. This year we ate bfast in our rooms and we did the big lunches and just had munchies for dinner. It is also less expensive at lunch too then dinner if that is a concern.

Either way, you will enjoy it. Good food.

I like doing an early breakfast at CP. You can make a PS for 8:05 or 8:15, and still be done with breakfast by the time the park opens at 9. It's neat to get into the park before opening for pictures.

We did a late breakfast there (10am) and it great. The food was really fresh with lots to choose from including a omelet station.The charcters were great and with it being lator and not so busy they even visted with us twice.My 7 month old loved it and were planing on going agin in March. Liked it alot better than the charcter breakfast at cape may.

We have done both. Try and get an early PS 8-8:15 on a non EMH day and you will be finished w/ Breakfast & ready for the park as the park is openning.

The food at both is yummy!!!

I've got a PS for breakfast at 8.05 - what time should I leave Coronado Springs to be sure of getting there in plenty of time? (We have a hire car so don't need to rely on Disney transportation).

I dined here for lunch on my last trip and for both lunch & dinner on the 2003 trip. I love this place. The food and the service are great. Lunch is a bit cheaper than dinner and I found the selection to be pretty close to each other. Try to get an early PS for lunch (say 11:30am). This way it's not as crowded and your done before the masses start.

We have eaten dinner and breakfast at CP. I think we prefer breakfast. It's a great way to start the day and we weren't hungry until dinner time. I love the puffed french toast and the hashbrown casserole! Yummy!! I have never seen my 2 year old dd eat so much for breafast...but she loved all of the food at CP.

We do lunch at CP every trip. We love the food there and lunch is cheaper than dinner. We don't go out for breakfast - we eat that in our condo.

Our one splurge of our vacations to WDW is to have an early breakfast at Crystal Palace before the park opens! :cool1:

Just last night I made our PS for the CP. Got 8:10am on Mon, Jan 31st. I love to get in the park that early, it's great for photos! We have also eaten Lunch and Dinner at CP. DH loves this rest. no matter what meal we are eating. It's a MUST for us every trip!

We love both lunch and breakfast. On an EE day I would probably do an early lunch. On a non EE day I'd go with a pre-opening breakfast.
