I am thinking of booking a PS at the Crystal Palace for lunch during my honeymoon. Tigger is my fiance's favorite character. How much interaction do you get with the characters? Would we be out of place since we'll be a table of just two adults?
Also, how would you rate the food?

Thanks...

I went there by myself and I was 44 at the time. The food was pretty good though I didn't think it was excellent. It is a beautiful restaurant though and all the carchters visited with me though not for as long as if I had kids with me. If you want to keep them at the table a bit longer ask them yes od no questions! :)

We went in Feb.' 03 with a 5yo and before that , on our honeymoon in Feb. '97 (be careful on your honeymoon at Disney-you may get a souvenier you have to feed-for life).
The characters are great. Lots of interaction. My little one also helped lead a birthday parade and If you're game you may get to help with that.
For Dinner- you may be able to see the fireworks display over Cindy's Castle.
The food is good. We went 2x this past Feb. because we enjoyed the selection of foods so much.
We got lots of pics of Tigger too! In fact-he is the character that tends to spend the most time, esp. if you say you are a fan.
Hope you have fun.. and heed my warning about bringing home extra souveniers..lol:Pinkbounc

I've been there for breakfast just two adults and we had a great time - all the characters came round and we had just as much interaction as those table with kids. Tigger was great fun :) The food here is a great buffet and I've heard that the lunch is good too. Book it you'll have fun ;)

LOL at those souveniers :teeth:

Thanks everybody....
Crystal Palace is a go!

Now I just have to figure out where to eat for the rest of the week.

We are thinking of trying this too. Sounds great! I am adding it to our 'list of things to do'.

A few years back we went to DisneyLAND and the Crystal Palace is the place you go for early entry breakfast (no PS necessary) anyway. My sister and I, both in our 30's, were walking back to our table with our trays... Tigger was bouncing around and bounced right into my sister, :bounce: his tail knocked the whole tray into the air and on the floor, coffee all over my sister. I was laughing so hard, til I saw my sisters arm...... 2nd degree burns on her whole forearm and hand !!..... I felt so bad for laughing, and I felt bad for Tigger too. You could tell he felt awful. He picked her up (had to be a HE, he was about 6'2").......... gave her a big hug and we got her down to the first aid station on main street. After they patched her up, they gave her front of line passes to use for the whole family for the rest of the day. I thought that was nice. :teeth:

My boyfriend and I are 23 & 21 & we go to the Crystal Palace everytime we go to WDW!! It's a tradition, the first morning we are there we go there first thing- as a matter of fact while they were doing renovations I was SO nervous they wouldn't be open when we went down the last time. I didn't know what to do! (I guess since it's the first place we went the very first time we went it kind of signifies "Ok, we're HERE!!!") We love it! It's my favorite character breakfast. You will not be the only adults, we never are. Have fun!:D

sissy and I werent alone. I have 1 daughter who was 9, my nephew who was 6 and my husband, mother, 2 aunts. 1 uncle were there too. We went just about every morning! I love that place, gotta watch Tiggers tail though!

I've been here with just two adults. Character interaction was fab, if you interact with the characters they will spend time with you. Food was fab for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Can't wait to go back.

:bounce: We love the Crystal Palace. It is a beautiful building and restaurant and the food is good. Something for everybody. The characters interact with you quite often. Highly recommend! Strongly suggest making PS at this restaurant if you are going to WDW during a busy time.

We go there for our first MK breakfast, it's a tradition! There is lots of character interaction, we get a table by the windows, with the sunlight streaming in it really feels magical. ALso we thought the food was really good too.

this is where I will be celebrating my birthday....it was a must to know FOR SURE I was going to meet pooh bear:hyper:

I ate there last Saturday by myself-the characters were fun-Tigger snuck up on me, and then "laughed" when I jumped..lol.You have to try the Chipoltle butter-it was awesome on the fresh rolls-not real hot-but delicious. If any one knows where or how I could get the recipe, please let me know-I didn't get a chance to ask before I left.Thanks.

Crystal Palace is our all time favorite place to eat. DH usually doesn't get into the character thing as much as the rest of us but last year the kids bought him a Tigger shirt to wear there. Tigger thought this was great and went to DH every time he came around. We have some great pictures and memories.

We booked the latest breakfast PS possible so we could tour the park early and take a break around 11:00 for "brunch." The buffet was excellent (too much food)!!! The characters systematically visit every table, and Tigger was more than willing to spend time having pictures taken with adults only as well as kids only. The restaurant is beautiful and cheerful and we will definitely return this September!

We went there with our 2-year old son last year, and will DEFINITELY go there again on our trip this year. The characters made their way around the entire restaurant at least once while we ate there, and I think they gave equal amounts of attention to every table. The food was excellent, and there was plenty of it. Tigger took the time to pose for 2 pictures with our son, and seemed to also be posing with adults at other tables too. I don't think you can go wrong with a meal here!

Have fun!! :earsgirl:

I've gone there by myself several times and I've never felt out of place. In fact, they have several tables that only seat two.

For the most part, the character interaction has been very good. They'll shake hands, pose for pictures with you, etc. Also, if you're wearing clothing that has the Pooh characters on it, they'll point that out.

As for the food, lunch is a good meal. They have a good variety of entrees/sides. Also, they have deli meats, rolls(if you want a sandwich), a small salad bar, and a variety of desserts.
