The food? The atmosphere?
I have never been and I am looking to hear. Good? Bad?

We usually go for lunch...I have 2 teens and they are not that much into the characters...loved it when they were younger, however now its all about the food. Loud and busy but very bright rooms with lots of windows. :thumbsup2

we have only been there for dinners and we love it. Even my husband loves it. Last year we took our sister in law and brother in law to eat there for her birthday and we were only four adults......we have been now two more times in the last year and are going in a few weeks........it is great and the food is great too

We love Crystal Palace! We try to go once every trip! The food is very very good. Everybody can find something that they like! Also the character interaction is awesome. The characters came to our table atleast 2 times! We have usually done breakfast which is great, but recently have tried lunch and will continue with doing lunch. We feel it is a nice break from the park!

We had breakfast at CP last trip (January 08) - first seating. I was very excited for it, because I have read so many glowing reports about it. Maybe the build-up was just too much, but ultimately, I was kind of disappointed.

The food is very good for a buffet -- lots and lots of choices, all very good, very freshly prepared. The characters were great. We missed one of them, which was disappointing, but understandable. The main problem for me, was how busy and chaotic the place was. You had to fight your way through the (aggressive) masses to wait in long lines for the food. People cut in the lines like crazy - totally maddening. It felt like I was fighting to get my food. Uggh. Just not fun for that reason.

I will also say that the entrance procedure (or whatever you call it) was pretty frustrating. Again, you had to fight your way up the person at the window outside to "check-in". Then you had to continue to wait outside (for awhile ...:rolleyes1 ) until they called you name. THEN, you had to fight your way through the masses AGAIN to get up to the hostess who led you to your table. It wasn't torture, but it wasn't great either.

In summary, good food, good characters, but QUITE crowded and chaotic.

We enjoyed our character breakfast at Cape May Cafe MUCH better, although the food choices weren't nearly as diverse. It was just a more enjoyable experience because people weren't fighting for their food.

We really enjoy Crystal Palace breakfast. We have had ADRs for first seating (8:05) and close to last seating (10:45?). I think these seatings are less hectic that mid morning.
With first seating you can get in the park before it opens and the restaurant isn't packed yet. You also have a shorter wait to be seated. :goodvibes
At last seating the restaurant quiets down during your meal. They start bringing out lunch foods and we were invited to eat off the lunch buffet, too.
I suspect first or last seating would work well for lunch or dinner, too.

We must have hit this palce on an off night last year because this was the only place we have ever gone that we vowed we would never go back to. The food wasn't that great and the prime rib was awful.

We also love CP for lunch. It is a great break in the day and we have always enjoyed the food.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the breakfast. We always start our trip here with an 8:05 ADR. The breakfast lasagna and puffed French toast are excellent.

I've been twice now (once for a lunch, and once for a dinner) and I love CP. The food is fantastic, especially when you consider the idea that cooking for more people can sometimes make quality go down. Everyone in my party enjoyed CP and loved the food. I was happy to meet a few characters, as my family isn't one to get in line and wait for pictures with characters.

As for the masses going up for food... I find there is a high time and a low time Just start eating on a low and you might be able to be one of the few "off" people. It gets you through line quicker. When we entered the restaurant, the food area was packed. Once we sat down, ordered drinks and got settled, it was empty. When we sat down and looked over, it was getting busy again, and then once we were ready for our second plates, it was empty up there! I feel lucky now!

Crystal Palace has been one of our MUST DO's for years. We only do breakfast because we love the puffed french toast, made to order omelets and the potato casserole. Plus you have my favorites: Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore (and Piglet too).

we will be at Crystal Palace for the first time a week from tomorrow!! I cant wait!

I love the place.
The character interaction is amazing and the food is just yummy!!

CP breakfast is the only dining experience I can't be without on a WDW trip!

Try to get an ADR before the park opens & you can get some great photo shots of the castle & an empty Main St, as well as just enjoy the solitude:goodvibes

We always have excellent service here. Character interactions & the "Pooh-rade" is great! Food options are endless & honestly, after a CP breakfast, we usually skip lunch & end up with a light dinner. Some of our favs there:

-Honey yogurt & granola
-Pooh's breakfast lasagna
-Breakfast pizza
-Veggie Fritatta
-Grits
-Chocolate Croissants

You cannot go wrong here!

We had breakfast at CP last year and loved it! We loved it so much we made 2 ADR's to eat there during our upcoming trip.
My favorite is the puffed french toast, oohhhh so yummy.:lovestruc I have to try the chocolate croissants since I did not see them last year.
:cheer2:
