We had breakfast at CP last trip (January 08) - first seating. I was very excited for it, because I have read so many glowing reports about it. Maybe the build-up was just too much, but ultimately, I was kind of disappointed.
The food is very good for a buffet -- lots and lots of choices, all very good, very freshly prepared. The characters were great. We missed one of them, which was disappointing, but understandable. The main problem for me, was how busy and chaotic the place was. You had to fight your way through the (aggressive) masses to wait in long lines for the food. People cut in the lines like crazy - totally maddening. It felt like I was fighting to get my food. Uggh. Just not fun for that reason.
I will also say that the entrance procedure (or whatever you call it) was pretty frustrating. Again, you had to fight your way up the person at the window outside to "check-in". Then you had to continue to wait outside (for awhile ...

) until they called you name. THEN, you had to fight your way through the masses AGAIN to get up to the hostess who led you to your table. It wasn't torture, but it wasn't great either.
In summary, good food, good characters, but QUITE crowded and chaotic.
We enjoyed our character breakfast at Cape May Cafe MUCH better, although the food choices weren't nearly as diverse. It was just a more enjoyable experience because people weren't fighting for their food.
