Crystal Palace reservation before park opening...

I haven't been to MK since they moved the opening show inside by the castle. Besides having a great character breakfast, is there a benefit to having a dining reservation before park opening anymore? I used to enjoy doing this to get a few pictures of main street and the castle before it was crowded but that isn't the case anymore right? Just trying to decide if I want to cancel an 8:05 CP reservation. We aren't big breakfast eaters and have done CP before so it wouldn't be a new experience. Thanks for your help!

We did this last year in late august. It was kind of neat to see MK so empty hardly anyone there for real. We definitely did not take advantage of the picture opportunity! We ate but the park was opened and crowded by the time we exited the crystal palace.

So you are able to enter the park before they let guests into the main street area?

I don’t know that there are many pre-park opening reservations anymore. It seems that they push opening or EMH earlier and those people are now choosing to spend opening hour eating or cancelling to open the park with the masses.

Yes. We arrived early for our reservation too bc i was worried about being on time and we were there before the park opened and i rememeber we were not seated on time so we were able to watch the very small opening show. It was cute.

PPO reservations are only let in with maybe a 2 minute head start on the regular crowd. If you book it up Main St and head straight for an available PP photographer, you might get an empty castle photo. It will afford you no touring advantage as crowds will have formed at the ropes leading out to all of the lands before you finish your meal.
