Help! DH and I have reached a crossroads on our last TS ADR. Here is what we have planned:

Day 1: Les Chefs de France Dinner
Day 2: Cape May Dinner
Day 3: 'Ohana Breakfast....Crystal Palace for dinner OR Grand Floridian Cafe for dinner
Day 4: Boma Dinner
Day 5: Teppan Edo Dinner
Day 6: Le Cellier Dinner
Day 7: Cape May Dinner
Day 8: Crystal Palace Dinner

It's the dinner choices for Day 3 where we cannot agree. I want to go to GFC - as we have never been before. He wants to go to CP. We have been to CP before and love it, but we also have it planned for out last night in MK. I don't see the need to do it twice.

As for Cape May that we also have twice - it's his favorite so I'll be O.K. going there twice if he wants to that badly.

Without us ever being to GFC, we cannot make a comparison to CP. DH loved the food at CP and our kids (2 yrs and 5 yrs) will have a good selection to choose from off the buffet.
We are on the DDP - 2 yr. old is not, so he has to eat off one of our plates. Easy to do at a buffet. I figured at GFC, whatever we order for the 5 yr. old, the 2 yr. old can eat as well.

Those of you who have been to both places, we need your advice. Which do you prefer and why? Or do you think CP twice in one trip is worth the credits.

Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

Grand Floridian Cafe hands down. The food is better and the atmosphere is not as chaotic. We usually eat at CP our first day at the parks, but are opting to skip it this year because I really don't enjoy the food. I'm also not a huge fan of buffets.

We skipped the CP this year and ate at the GFC. It is sooooo much more relaxed. It's not loud. You can enjoy your dinner without the feeling of being rushed so that the next family can sit down. My children are older and they picked the GFC over CP. Even though DS can eat anyone out of house and home and the buffet is worth it for him, he still wanted the GFC.

The food is good too.

I love CP!! But since you are doing in your last night, I would go ahead and make ressies for the other.

Thank you all for your suggestions.
I think I may now win this one and we get to try out GFC. :goodvibes

YEAH! And since we do have CP planned for later during our trip, DH can still get his buffet!!!
:thanks:

CP is an overpriced buffet. GFC is a less overpriced, somewhat elegant, hidden gem. I'd go with GFC since you'll have another CP meal anyway.

Trying to keep our costs down. Do they also have a lunch at Grand Floridian?

yes, they do. I am eating lunch there next week while DD is on the pirate cruise. I love GFC, it is my hidden gem as well. It has great food, a relaxed atmoshere, and beautiful surroundings.

On different trips, we have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at GFC. Since, you already have CP, I would try GFC. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. We liked all meals we had there. It is nice to have a more relaxed meal sometime during the trip (at least for us).
