I was wondering about the different food items at the CP lunch and dinner buffets. Lunch would be more convenient for us, but family are not much in the way of salad eaters. Do they have hot meals (beef , chicken, etc.) at both? thanks for any input on the differences in food between these two meals. Gail :sunny:

They had both hot and cold meals for lunch when we went and it was all DELICIOUS. We will be there in August for a lunch: I have not tried dinner or breakfast but lunch is just a more convienient time for us: we intent to blitz the park all morning and then have lunch at 2pm, browse Main Street and leave at around 4pm. I'm really looking forward to it :Pinkbounc

Was wondering the same thing as the menu on allearsnet makes it seem as lunch is mostly cold cuts/salads and the dinner is mostly hot items. anyone else love the lunch? :sunny:

we had the lunch - they had mac and cheese and chicken strips at the kids buffet - then, a chicken mushroom pasta, corn spoonbread, broccoli, rotisserie chicken , flank steak, salmon or some fish thing ( i'm not into that), what else? hmmm.... good desserts - totally lots of hot food - great bread, too! The sandwhich fixings were there, but not a highlight. Do the lunch - it's fun!

Had Dinner there on thursday, it was great.

This is one of my favorite places to dine at WDW and is a must on each trip. :thumbsup2 Have had lunch & dinner here and have always been very pleased. The food and the service are great. :woohoo: I found relatively the same stuff at both meals. I'm planning on dining here for dinner on my 2nd day (1st will be the Candlelight @ EPCOT), as well as breakfast on my last day. :yay:

We had lunch there in Dec & I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't hoping for much, made the ADR really for the Grandchildren. We had first Lunch seating & everything was Fresh.

There were lots of salads & sandwich fixings, but also lots of hot foods too.

I wouldn't hesitate to do lunch there again, esp. first seating. I am not normally a buffet person at all, but had a good experience there for lunch. (I've had breakfast & dinner there in trips past & was not so impressed. I think first seating & fresh food makes a big difference)

We have done both and prefer the dinner slightly over the lunch as the selection is a little better. However, my favorite Crystal Palace meal is breakfast before the park opens! :thumbsup2

DH also remebered the garlic mashed potatoes at lunch - yum!!!! I want to try breakfast sometime, too!

I've done and enjoyed all 3 meals there. I think that dinner has shrimp cocktail and lunch does not. But I'm not 100% sure of that. I wouldn't hestitate to do lunch if that time works better for you.

Agreeing with lovesdumbo that there's no shrimp at lunch. However I was very happy to see some of my favorites, the garlic smashed potatoes, the roast beef salad, chicken mushroom pasta, various sauteed vegetables, flank steak and turkey. And there was still a great dessert selection with bread pudding, flan, key lime pie, etc. We go for the food, not necessarily Pooh and Friends ;)

All 3 are wonderful. My favorite is breakfast.

In October we had dinner here food was great especially the Coconut Flan. Yummy!
