There was a post about the crystal light packets you could add to your water and I can't find the post. Could anyone tell me where they found the packets and how much water did you need for a packet?
Thanks

They sell them in the cafeteria where I work and they take a 20oz bottle of water and sell them for .49 cents/pack (which is of course marked up for the cafeteria)

I'd *love* to know where I could buy them in bulk tho cause I drink crystallite exclusively and really don't like plain water.

Hope that helps a little.

We just buy them at the local grocery store. Pack of 8 singles for 1.99. I'm sure costco has them bulk but I haven't looked. My favorite is the raspberry ice.

Today I just received my order from netgrocer.com . They sold a 24 pack of single serve Crystal Light packets (to be mixed with 8 oz of water) for $2.55 each. I would have liked the ones to be mixed with 22 oz of water, but everything I found were in too large of a quantity. I ordered lemonade and fruit punch. The packets are about the size of a teabag (but very flat). From the looks of the Orlando forecast I'm going to need them next week!

I used to by CL but as I was about to purchase the new orange flavor my eye caught the words"made in Mexico" on the back of the package. That was it for me... I will not buy it anymore. More outsourcing and who knows what the standards are outside the US.

Um...I wouldn't worry about the quality of a Kraft product. DH works for the company, and we have both been very impressed with things we have learned about production. Anyway, I get my CL for free (I'm sorry)...but I haven't seen the smaller single packs. I've only seen the tubes for 20 oz. bottles. Anyway, I think they are awesome - one of my favorite products! I know our Kroger and Walmart carries them for sure.

We got three free samples of the new orange flavor with the Lemonade we purchased. I don't really care for the orange at all.

If anyone has seen the single packages (20 oz tubes would be best) in the Boston area please let me know. I can't seem to find them anywhere!

I didn't like the orange as well. It is kind of like Tang. I love the ice tea and raspberry ice. The lemonade is a little too sweet for me. I always have to add extra water for that one. I haven't seen the individual packs in any store near me. I usually buy the ones that you can make 2 quarts.

Oops! I was wrong about our stores carrying them! DD had told me she has seen them, but when I looked, there were none! DH actually told me last night that stores in USA don't sell them yet. So, I guess in Canada they do. I'd go to the above website that Pooh Girl 71 mentioned...it seems the best way to go. Not sure what kind of site it is though, or if you have to be in food service to order. Guess not, if she's done it! DH was just adament that they are not sold to the general public at this time - it would be fun to prove him wrong, though...or is that a little evil? The smaller 8 oz. packs have been around for awhile, but DH said they're going away to be replaced by the 20 oz. tubes.
Good luck...DH was sort of excited to hear about this thread and wished he could sell you guys some cheap, but he has a job he'd like to keep!

If you can't find the packets, you could use a container for powdered baby formula. They are designed so you just measure the amount you need in to a comparment, then you just open and pour it whil eyou are away from home. These work great for our babies, and are pretty cheap--they have them int he dollar store, and in the baby section at walmart:)

Does anyone know the size of the small packets? If I just knew the amount to measure out, I would package it myself in those teeny ziploc type bags you can get in a craft store!

I'm looking at one of the tubes that goes into a 20 oz. bottle of water. Dumb me...I'm not quite sure what number to give you so I'll give you both!

The net wt. is 0.17 oz/4.81grams

Does that help at all? By the way, you can use this amount in a 16 oz bottle - my girls actually like it better stronger!

I used the container for baby formula when my DD was a baby. It was great when we went on trips. But, the one I had was a round, short canister that was divided into 3 sections. This type wouldn't work so well for the crystal light because the sections would just be way too big for the amount of crystal light you would put in there. For example, with the baby formula I remember putting in about 1/2 cup or so (???) of formula. The individual crystal light packs that I saw were about as thin as a pencil and about 2 inches long.

I have been looking for these packets too. An aquaintence of mine (who I saw them with) said she purchased them in Ohio. They are no where to be found in Rhode Island.

The only place I have seen the individual packets is at the hospital cafeteria. From what I understand, they aren't in the stores yet.

does this product contain nutrasweet (big no no for kids and pregnant women), or Splenda*?? Splenda wont harm you and tastes way better.
