CRV ~ ~ AKLV?????? Info please....

Oh my!!! Have been busy with the school year starting and I have not had time to visit the DIS. It looks like I have missed alot.

I have read a little about there being a possible CRV and/or AKLV??? Have these both been offically announced or still just speculation. I knew that several people felt like CRV was coming next but I'm excited to see AKL might happen. What is the expected time of announcements and completions for these two developments? I would LOVE to buy at AKL!!!!

There has been no official announcement about the next DVC resort. Everything you hear is speculation and rumor.

However a lot of folks anticipate an announcement in October.

I can understand why people think CRV is next with the north wing not being redone but what makes people think an AKLV is in the future?

There was information on the boards about "model rooms" being constructed at AKL. An actual picture of the building permit was shown in a post and several people have commented about some construction going on at AKL on some rooms. The name on the building permit was Disney Vacation Development, which is actually the development arm of DVC, thereby adding fuel to the thought that maybe the model rooms at AKL are actually models for a new DVC. There are also some model rooms being constructed in the theater at SSR which could mean several things. DVC may simply be turning the current models (in the Springs section) into member inventory or the new models in the theater could be a different theme (i.e. CRV or VAKL).......I guess we'll just have to wait for the announcement!!!!
