Crummy Speedway station

We recently spent 9 days at BCV and used our car sparingly while there. However, we did need to refill the gas tank occasionally and were hoping for a car wash. During the entire 9 day stay, the car wash at the Speedway station (across from BWV) wasn't working. In addition, the windshield washer buckets were bone-dry the entire 9 days. Thoroughly disgusted with this place. So much for convenience.

“Thoroughly disgusted” because their car wash is broken and during a drought they aren’t filling the windshield wash buckets…

What drought?
Not sure I'm following? Car washes reclaim their water. At least what doesn't get atomized and blown away.
If your job is to provide a service, like windshield washing products that your customers can use to clean off the bugs and grime, you should probably keep it stocked.
I don't think I personally would get as jazzed about the issues as the OP, but if that's their thing I get it.
Lastly, What drought?

Most of FL is in some stage of drought currently, all of central FL is D-1, moderate drought. Map
I don't know about the map. We aren't in a drought, the lake behind me is up three feet from last year. I guess Orange could be technically in a drought but not to the point of keeping windshield wash buckets empty. I'm in Polk County, next door to Orange. No drought.

Not surprising, if its anything like the one near me. I try to use other brand stations unless I absolutely need to go there.

Being in a state that gets cold, it's not unusual for stations to not fill the washer buckets. That doesn't explain Florida though. I am curious whether you said anything to the attendant to ask about the washer buckets.

Having the car wash be out of service doesn't surprise (or disgust) me. It's very possible it's broken and they're waiting on a part.

And what a lack of rain might have to do with windshield washer fluid escapes me.

Thanks so much for all the replies, both helpful and not. Boy, some people on these boards like to criticize the person posting their views. So what if I like to keep my car clean? Why should that cause ridicule from other people? Anyway…

We all have different expectations. I expect things to work, but would understand if there’s some problem that’s explained by management. We asked, no reasons were given (including a drought). Instead there was a shrug and ‘Um, no, I guess the car wash doesn’t work‘. So we went elsewhere and won’t bother with this station in the future.
