Crummy morning....maybe one ray of sunshine....

Hi everyone:

I know that in the grand scheme of things, my day isn't really all that bad, but I guess I just need to feel sorry for myself, a little.

DH and I booked a cruise to Bermuda about 3 months ago, for next June, 2003. Due to recent car problems ($$$) and minor health issues, we may need to cancel it. We have just come to realize our need to cancel the cruise, today.

Also, this morning I was pulling into the gas station, and there was a very long truck, maybe the kind used to haul logs or something, parked to the side. I thought I had room to squeeze by the truck and the gastank island. Well, I didn't. I totally scraped up the passenger side of my car

Then when I went food shopping, I wrote out the check using my very special silver Disney World pen that was bought during Disney World's 25th anniversary. The dates are engraved on the pen, and the top of the pen is Mickey ears, and the clip on the pen is a white Mickey hand. So, it's irreplaceable. Well, guess what I can't find now? It's nowhere

Just not a good day, in a few ways. (Again, I realize these are minor problems, relatively speaking).

Now for the possible ray of sunshine... Since we'll probably be cancelling the cruise, we'll be getting back $400. of the deposit, and we're considering taking a 5-day trip to Disney World instead next summer Some of you might remember that DH and I were going to go to the Wilderness Lodge last December, just the two of us, but then that plane crashed in New York in November, just a few weeks before our trip (not referring to Sept 11th here), and I got scared to fly, and cancelled the trip. So, this would be sort of like replanning that trip again. I have to wait and see if DH wants to do this or not. I have since used my cancelled plane ticket from last year, but DH still has his. They charge $100 change fee, but that would still leave us about $60 towards a new ticket for him. I'd have to buy a whole new ticket for myself, of course. I'd like to either stay at the Wilderness Lodge, OR go back to CBR so I can check out the new food court/restaurant that is being remodeled right now

I don't believe a trip to Disney World is anything to pray about So I'm not looking for prayers or anything like that, but I just wanted to share my day with all of you, because I know you'd understand how the possibility of a new trip to WDW could cheer me up today!

My DH just told me that a trip to WDW instead of the cruise sounds like a good idea I just called CRO and got the rates for CBR, WL, and Polynesian, for mid-July, using our AAA discount. The rates aren't as bad as I thought they'd be! I'll still be watching for any discount codes in the future though.

Does talking to CRO cheer you up?? It always makes me feel better. Hope your day has gotten better by now. They may be 'little' things in the big scheme of life, but they still wear you down. Sending you a great big {{{{{{{hug}}}}}}}.

{{{Hugs}}} from me too. We won't be going on a cruise either this year-the first time in 7 years we haven't gone I know how disappointed you must feel. Days like you had today are really awful. Please don't be too hard on yourself for feeling sad about these things. I hope things get better soon.

I'm sorry your day has started so badly. But planning a trip to WDW would certainly cheer me up

I know that your reviews of CBR really made me want to stay there last year (and we did) so maybe you could split your stay between CBR and WL. That way you could check out the rennovations and WL.
