Cruising with Young Adults

My DD will graduate from high school in 2022 and my other DD will graduate from college also in 2022 and we will also have our 14 year old son with us for a total of 5 in our party. I am trying to decide on whether or not I get two rooms or try to squeeze all 5 of us in the same room. If I go with two rooms I would like to have a Verandah for my wife and I and put the kids across the hall in an inside state room. Has anyone ever done something like this? How did it work out for your traveling party?

Lots of people do it. But the rooms aren't exactly across the hall. Insides on the DCL ships are along side corridors, so if you want "across the hall", your verandah room should be on the corner of an inside hallway.

Also, check the price difference on two connecting verandah rooms. Sometimes it's not that much more, depending on the sailing.

Another consideration is put the girls in an inside somewhere nearby, but keep your much younger son with you.

Remember, no matter how you do it, only one person will get the big bed, so make sure they aren't going to fight over it.
