I have already booked my cruise for 11/05. I have a CM friend that said he would like to take the same cruise and I could travel with him. I know that CMs can only book if space is available and they have to wait 30 days before the cruise date to make a reservation. Should I cancel my own reservation thru my TA and take the risk of booking 30 days in advance? Has anyone been in a similar situation? :confused3

Can help you out here. I'm a CM and have sailed on 6 Disney cruises now.

The CM who wants to travel with you will have to wait until the space available list is updated if he wishes to go as a CM. Yes, that can be posted 30 days in advance or less (usually less).

The catch with your situation re the Nov. 5 cruise is that there may be no space available for CM's when the time comes. As noted above, it's not posted until fairly close to sailing. You can always take the risk, but don't be disappointed if no CM space is available for that date and you already cancelled your reservation. Of course the CM can go anytime with you as a regular guest (like yourself)and make reservations now for the Nov. 5 cruise.

Whatever you decide, hope you do take a cruise and have the most wonderful time ever.

Thank you Otimon! I think I should hold on to my reservation. I would never want to miss a Disney cruise! I noticed you are a CM at Epcot. Hopefully I will be visiting Epcot on Thanksgiving day. Thanks again for your advice. :wave2:
