Cruising towards 10 days of fun... a July/Nov 2012- & We're BACK!!! Pg.50-51

Tim, I was going to rag you about having two PTR's (yes I saw the other one several days ago, I am just behind as usual. I could have actually signed in on page ONE, for some strange reason I saw it right after you posted, which we both know NEVER happens) and SOMEHOW I missed this about your grandfather. Is it wrong that you aren't overly sad?? I think it is a gift that you recognize this as a blessing. I look forward to my own resting place someday and I think when we have Four generations for me to love at once would be a PERFECT time to day goodbye. Kudos to you for being so smart! :goodvibes

Why hello Judy!

I am always behind on here too, but you have a 'better' reason than I do. :grouphug:

My grandfather's funeral was sad but he lived a long and full life. I can only hope to live as long as he did and strive to be 1/2 the man he was. :goodvibes

Now I am wondering if I can jump in on the other PTR where I will be the odd person out only "knowing" one of you and KNOWING I will NEVER run a marathon...unless you count the marathon of doctors I run to daily...:lmao::lmao: AND I will be eternally behind....
You aren't the only one that only 'knows' 1 of us. Don't be shy, some of the 'regulars' are on the other PTR too so you'll fit right in.

Stop over, say hi, and pop in from time to time. :goodvibes:goodvibes

Hey Tim! Just dropped by to get all caught up and say hello!!! Sorry to see the update about your Grandfather! I can't remember if I saw something about that on FB or not. Love the four generation picture!!!

Can't believe you still haven't heard about Princess Juliana's blood work, but we know she is perfect and can't wait until August to celebrate along with you about her five years!!!

DON'T EAT LIST

Y&Y (ts)
Hollywood & Vine
Not sure why the issue with Y&Y. We have been there twice in the past year and loved it both times!!! :lovestruc
And I'm with ya on the Y&Y, no way.:thumbsup2
And the fact Molly agrees with the no eat policy should tell you something........ ;)

Thank you Marv. I didn't post anything on FB about it so it's understandable that you didn't know.

Besides my dad's eyes being closed and him making a funny face, it's a pretty good picture! :lmao:

We finally did hear something (good) and I will tell everyone in the next update. ;)

We've only eaten at the CS and I've liked the food there. Our friends ate at the sit-down restaurant and had a bad experience last year so it was on their 'NO' list. I don't care if I eat there or not so it doesn't bother me. :goodvibes

And the fact Molly agrees with the no eat policy should tell you something........ ;)
:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hey everyone remember me? :confused3 :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Marv brought it to my attention... we finally received the results to Juliana's bloodwork and they all came back good! :worship: Not only do they check all her normal counts that have to do with a reoccurrence of cancer but they also check all her kidney functions. Since she only has one kidney, those numbers are very important.

As far as our planning goes...

Well, there isn't too much to report on. I spoke to our TA about what we should be doing and she said 'Not a whole lot right now' Party days haven't been released yet and park hours aren't out. :headache: I did spend over an hour on the phone with Dave talking about our tentative schedule and then last night spent about 30 minutes typing it up and emailing it to everyone. (I told you, I turned our friends into Disney nuts... just like us!) So we are talking about different options and trying to fit everything in.

It was also brought to my attention that while we are in Disney in November, the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon and 5K will be going on. I'm thinking of signing up to run in the 5K... why you ask? I am running in the Disney Jan. 2013 1/2 marathon! So our November trip is right in the middle of some heavy training for the 1/2 marathon. Maybe I could get a Disney race under my belt while going out for a leisurely run. :lmao::lmao: If you'd like to read more about my training and my January trip head to my join PTR with Barry, who I CHALLENGED to run in the marathon with me....

Nemesis Challenge: It's OK to Finish Next-To-Last, As Long As I Beat HIM

I guess that's it for now...

I forgot.....

Melody was given a button up Mickey dress shirt by my mom but it doesn't fit her right. Ill post some pics and the first person who say they want it I'll mail it to them. It is a woman's medium.

such wonderful news Juliana's blood work came back perfect :goodvibes :woohoo: :goodvibes

yay if you run in the W & D5K ---guess that means you won't be "drinking around the world" but "running around the world"
good luck! still rooting for "TEAM TIM"!!!!!!!

And the fact Molly agrees with the no eat policy should tell you something........ ;)

Oh hush up. I don't expect you take any of my advice!

:headache:I'll have you know, I have highly sensitized taste buds, like super hero powers! You can trust my judgment, Y&Y is blech. Marv's taste buds are so old they probably can't even differentiate between sweet and sour anymore. Clearly you can't go by HIM.:rolleyes1

Hey everyone remember me? :confused3 :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sort of.

Well, I'm not surpised since I just knew everything would check out 100% perfect for Juliana!:woohoo: Such awesome news and one more step towards being cancer free shortly! August is just around the corner.:goodvibes I'm sure it's such a relief everytime these tests check out clean for her.:goodvibes

Party days haven't been released yet and park hours aren't out. :headache:

I know!:headache: I'm ready to plan and this kind of makes it difficult. Stupid park hours.

I did spend over an hour on the phone with Dave talking about our tentative schedule and then last night spent about 30 minutes typing it up and emailing it to everyone. (I told you, I turned our friends into Disney nuts... just like us!) So we are talking about different options and trying to fit everything in.

Geez, you sound like the travel agent! I hope you're asking some form of payment, at least a free dolewhip or beer from Rose & Crown! Isn't it nice though to be able to talk with friends who love Disney as much as you? I have some friends I can and some I can't.

Good grief, since when is 5K a leisurely stroll?!?! A leisurely stroll is walking through the Soarin' queue silly, not running a 5K. I think you're turning into a health nut now...And poor Barry, it's obvious you guilted him into joining you in January!

I already stopped by, I hope you like what I wrote...:rolleyes1

Uh, Tim, this is the DIS, not ebay. Sheesh.:headache:

Nice update! Great news on the kidney and bloodwork. I think that's a wonderful idea on running the 5K while you are there, why not? It will eat into your trip a bit though I imagine...

OUCH! Poor Marv gets it on every thread. :sad2:

We still get nervous waiting for results. She has done so well. I hope August is here quickly!

I know!:headache: I'm ready to plan and this kind of makes it difficult. Stupid park hours.
You know Disney already knows what they want the hours to be... they just aren't telling us!

I was thinking about becoming a Disney TA.. they get some great deals!!! I'd probably just end up feeding my own Disney addiction though. :surfweb:

At that point, I should be running like 20 miles a week... some days 7 or 8 miles at a time. A 5k should be nothing! :lmao:

A health nut? Not quite... I ate BBQ chips with lunch today. :rolleyes1

I already stopped by, I hope you like what I wrote...
Yes. You are a Team Timmer!!!! :thumbsup2

Uh, Tim, this is the DIS, not ebay. Sheesh.
You are observant. You are right. This is the DIS... but I'm not charging. I'm trying to GIVE the shirt away... or it's going to Goodwill.

Thanks Cynthia!

The race is on Saturday morning at 7am in AK. The race takes less than 30 minutes so it isn't a full day affair. But I think you have to be there around 4am! :scared1: I need to find out more information. :surfweb:

So glad to hear her bloodwork came back all good!
Thanks!!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Maybe I can drink and run at the same time? :confused3 :rotfl2:

think they call that staggering around the world :rotfl::rotfl:

OUCH! Poor Marv gets it on every thread. :sad2:

not saying a word :rolleyes1

and we all will be celebrating along with you all :woohoo:

Thanks!!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Last year I think we got there around 5:45. You really don't need to be there that early unless you want to stand in a REALLY long line for pictures with Mickey and Minnie. I did NOT. If the race is at AK again this year it does take about 30-40 minutes to run unless you are one of those crazy fast runners. I think the first person crossed the finish line before a lot of people even had a chance to start. It shouldn't cut into your park time at all. We run, had breakfast at Rainforest Cafe and were finished eating as the opening parade when by at AK. I know a few people ran, then headed to MK for the 40th Anniversary and made it to that on time or just a few minutes after RD. I say go for it. It's a lot of fun.

Thanks for the info!!! Are you running again this year?

Yay for Juliana's tests all coming back with good news!!!!! :cool1:

Agreed!! Well, the Soarin' queue really is at the long end of a "leisurely stroll", in my opinion :rotfl:. Did you know it's a quarter mile long??? And that's not even counting getting to the actual entrance of the queue!

Thanks for the info!!! Are you running again this year?

Not sure. I want to but I haven't really discussed it yet with the hubby. Registration opens next week so I'll check it out more first. I'm hoping they change it up a bit. Last year it was the Halloween 5K. I'm assuming they will lump that with the Everest 10 miler and make this 5K something new. If that is the case I will definitely be interested in running. Right now I really need to focus on getting my A** up early enough to actually run. I need to be out the door by 5am to get a good run in and a shower after. With the princess not sleeping well lately, I just haven't been feeling it. I'm sure you understand.

I've never ridden stand-by. I've always had a FP! ;)

I know how that is. :faint:

It looks like they are calling in the Disney Wine & Dine 1/2... but I don't know if the 5K is themed. :confused3

Yes, I need to get to your report... and a few others as well. :rolleyes1

Like mine? Come join mine :) I'm only 5 days into it like 4 months later :lmao:

So glad all Juliana's test results came back with good news :)

So glad Julianna's bloodwork all came back normal. that's great news! :cool1:

Cute shirt!

The F&W 5K sounds cool. When is that? I really need to do a Disney race one of these trips!

OUCH! Poor Marv gets it on every thread. :sad2:

He dishes it out, he gets it back. Fair play I think.

I got mine up early today too. I got it out the door and got a pretty good run in. Had some motivation so it was a good one. :)
