Cruising the Dream on our 1st cruise ever!!! (5 Night Double Dip)

Trying to catch up as I've gotten behind but I just had to mention that we saw the ducks in Japan during our Feb/March 2012 trip and the couple had babies. It was so cute having the ducklings come out to walk around our feet. One was trying to eat a little rubberband that was on the ground and I had to shoo it away. Naughty little thing!

That's sounds so neat! I wonder if the animal keepers took them away because there were definitely no babies around on our trip. Our dates at WDW were 3/18-3/21. I don't think they would have grown so fast within a month to have left on their own, what do you think? I just love watching animals :) I'm glad you saved one of them from that rubberband, thank you :)

I have never had breakfast at Boma before, but I want to let you know that the little folder over pastry on your plate that had the white sugar and the chocolate chips... I think it is the same thing that I got to the bakery in France for, it has a little pudding creme center... I got them the first time in the lounge at Jambo House and now have to go to the bakery to get the full size version every time we are visiting...

for the life of me I can't remember what it is called..

I can't remember a creamy center, but my oh my were they delicious! I passed over them in the lounge because I love the mini blueberry muffins, but now that I know how good they are I'm in trouble! Is it different than a chocolate croissant? I have only been to the bakery in France once, I'll have to check it out more thoroughly popcorn::

yes it is different, and in the bakery they are twice as long, they make the ones in the lounge/buffet small.

I know I have the name of it somewhere, I will find it.

Your photos of breakfast at Boma look so tempting. I am not really a breakfast person, but this looks so good. Maybe I have to make a breakfast reservation at Boma on a future drip. I had a few dinners at Boma and loved it.

I finally caught up on my journaling and headed back to the room. Mom had left me some time earlier to make some calls, and we watched the animals for a little while before heading back to Epcot.

mini Kermit came along with us

DisneyDreamandJamboHouse20121298.jpg

we started heading towards Soarin' hoping that all the fast passes had not been taken yet.

DisneyDreamandJamboHouse20121299.jpg

this was so big I couldn't figure out it was a peacock until mom pointed it out, but it was beautiful.

we got to Soarin'

DisneyDreamandJamboHouse20121304.jpg

and thankfully FPs were available so we got two sets and rode back to back. When we came out the second time the FPs were sold out so I'm super glad we got there when we did. Mom wanted to see the floating flowers again so that's where we went next.

I loved these funky seed pods.

That was all we needed to do at Epcot, so we started to head out and go back to MK. I have found that with APs I feel much less pressure to try and do everything.

We found these guys on the way

and then came across

this was at least 5 times the size of the Fairy Garden they had in 2008, just amazing.

they retrofitted this tree, but I couldn't figure out what for. The holes made me think as a speaker, but I couldn't hear anything.

We certainly weren't looking for it, but I'm so glad we came across the Fairy Garden. The topiaries were so well done, the fairy houses so cute, and the flowers so beautiful.

It was above and beyond my expectations, so delicious. It will probably be a must do every time we stay at AKV. I would love to do dinner again, but that will have to be on a trip without mom, she did not like how loud it was or the price even though I was paying...

They really do an astounding job on those topiaries. Hopefully we'll visit again during the F&G festival.

Thanks for sharing all the beautiful photos. One day I have to make sure that we are at WDW during this time of year and see it all for ourselves.

Graham is also not too keen on the noise, but as he likes the food at Boma, I can usually convince him to go once per vacation.

I love the Fairy Garden. It is so darn cute.

Score on the 2 sets of FP's for Soarin. What a bonus!

Pam - how many pictures did you take on this trip???? You didn't miss anything. :thumbsup2

Okay so, the only jungle juice I know of is alcoholic. Is this an alcoholic beverage?

Wow, that Fairy Garden is above and beyond. I think it is so neat that they're able to form all these topiaries into 'things'.

Everything is done so beautifully, and every year they change things around. I definitely recommend going, and going back. Disney just does things so well. And the weather couldn't have been more perfect. Not too hot, not too cold, just right.

I'm sorry if there's too many pictures. :rolleyes1 I know I said in the beginning I'd try to cut things out that weren't necessary, but it's hard! :) it was right around 1700. I kept thinking that I needed a record of everything!

Yes, those DVC FPs were fabulous!

The only Jungle Juice I've encountered is non-alcoholic. I think they do an alholic version in AK? This is just a bunch of fruit juices blended together. I think it's mango, papaya, orange, and pineapple but I may be wrong. It is just so heavenly! :cloud9:

The Fairy Garden was really amazing. I commented to one of the CMs how large it was compared to the one they had in 2008, and it's because the new Tinkerbell movies have become so popular.
