Cruising the Dream on our 1st cruise ever!!! (5 Night Double Dip)

You'll be heading back right when our weather should be getting nicer. I hope you don't have to go away anytime soon after getting back.

The thing about working hard is you really appreciate the down time, and I find myself dreaming about vacation constantly :cloud9:

Thank you. :) They are really good quality shirts. Disney makes it too easy to spend money

That is true at any Disney place...

The Mad Dash is SOOOOO cute! Makes me wish I had another baby just to do it! That is definitely going on the list of must-dos for next month.

Your purchases at Quacks are so cute. I love the t shirt. Is that the shop up on the pool/Cabanas deck near the elevators? We never browsed in there for some reason..but I made up for it in the other shops:rotfl:

I am so glad she wanted to go because it's something I never ever would have thought to do. It was adorable! The CM was so perfect for the job, he was the same one who did the dance party afterwards. So full of energy and fun. The parents were doing everything they could to get their babies moving, the only thing is they couldn't touch them.

I'm pretty sure you're thinking of another one, the one you can see through the glass windows? Quacks is a different store that you'd never know it was there until it was open. It is out on the pool deck.

I was shocked I didn't spend more than I did, just not enough time or space in the suitcases. I did, however, see quite a few things I would have liked to take home :rolleyes1

I have caught up and love every minute of your cruise. You are doing a super job Pam. I almost feel like I was with you and your mom. :) I love all the photos you took and the video's too. :thumbsup2

You certainly purchased a lot of cute items! I love that T-shirt - so cute!

Was your cruise a 4 or 5 night cruise? I continue to be amazed at all the lovely details on that boat.

Baby crawl - too cute!

When we drive to the cruise port I always end up with more stuff than if I fly... The baggage fees really keep me in line when it comes to buying stuff..

Thank you thank you! that warms my heart :goodvibes. I was hoping someone watched the videos :) Mickeys Pirate Party was just so cute I was glad I thought to record it. I missed a little bit of it, my record turned itself off since there was no more memory.

It was a 5 night. We picked it solely on the dates, and so glad that's what we ended up with. We were amazed at the beauty and detail the whole time. Disney is so amazing with what they think of.

I only picked up a few other things, I really wanted a beautiful gold necklace with the DCL logo and a Mickey face in diamonds. My plan is to pick that up next year.

I can definitely understand that. I try to fly Southwest whenever I can so that's usually not a problem, but I should have brought a second suitcase. Or maybe it's good I didn't...

After the fabulous Dance Party had come to a close we decided to head to the room and on the way started our detective journey. We actually came across one piece of enchanted art that shut down in front of our very eyes. The 'art' flickered and turned into a computer screen. We asked the first CM that came by and he said it probably needed to be reset which he rushed off to do immediately. A little bit of the magic was taken away by this experience but oh well. We left that one to finish later.

On our way to find more pieces to the puzzle we came across the Vista Gallery which I'd been wanting to check out so we went in to look at the art. They were having a silent auction that evening to I needed to see if I wanted to bid on anything. I had full intentions of bidding on a blind auction but they didn't have one, and I wasn't interested in any of the art that was. Sadly I don't think anyone else was because I didn't see one bid written on any of the papers. I did see some beautiful paintings I would have loved to take home.

Alicia posted this on her TR last year and I was so happy to see it in person.

Maleficent is not in my book of favorites, but I couldn't help but admire the quality of all these paintings.

I love 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' so this brought a smile to my face.

I am so glad we got in the Vista Gallery and I really would have liked to get a few matted prints but we never got back. Yet another thing on the list for next year.

sorry this is a small update, but I wanted to get something in at least.

Still loving every minute...I may be breaking through DH's armor about a cruise!!:tiptoe:

Makes me curious - what were the minimum bids for the auction? I'd love to buy some original Disney art but I've always had to stick to recreations and prints because of the costs.
