On the way to the room we saw Captain Hook and Smee.
So we got back to the room and mom suddenly changed her mind. Why not wait until it stops raining to go out, we could do the Midship Detective Agency instead. Ok, we were going to do that sometime anyway so why not. But I went out on the verandah to look at CC again, and it wasn't raining, what was she talking about. Was she trying to get out of our walk to the obsevation tower.... she claimed not, so off the boat we went. Got a little lost because you have to go down to deck 1 but it is not connected for guests to walk from one end to the other so we had to go back to deck 2 beg directions, and had to walk to the other side of the ship and back down to deck 1. When we were leaving our room someone told us to remember our photo IDs. Well since I had never read that before we didn't have them so back to the room we went and then never needed them anyway. You only need your photo ID if you loose your KTTW card. Just know where it is at all times and you're good to go.
I took oodles of pictures of CC so here goes.
They handed us each a towel as we left the ship, and there were more towels on CC if you needed them. It was still sprinkling so I had my towel over my head, that was until some Bahamians started laughing at me and I realized I wasn't going to die if I got wet.
Inside the Post Office. This is one place you will need some cash if you want to mail postcards. We bought five cards and stamps and decided to fill them out later. There is a drop box outside if the post office is closed. You do have to buy the stamps so we did it right them because I had read it closes at strange times.
Nice warning sign.
We decided to take the tram. You can walk to the beaches but we knew we'd be doing plenty of walking and wanted to save our strength.
You have to change trams to get to Serenity Bay, and it was my understanding that it would be less walking if we started from there than at the point where we had to switch, but I asked a CM and they said no, the path starts right here to go to the observation tower so we didn't continue on to SB. Big mistake. It added at least 20 minutes. This might not seem like a lot but my feet hurt so bad at the end of the walking adventure those 20 minutes would have helped ease my suffering.
I was just loving all the tropical foliage.
