My plate. I thoroughly enjoyed everything but the pancakes which I won't get again. They just weren't light and fluffy like I like.

They had sugar free syrup but you had to ask your server for it. He seemed confused until I said that the line cook told me I had to ask him for it.

Raspberry Krispy Kreme.

During breakfast I commented how lavenous everything was tasting and got quite a chuckle from the table next to us. I knew they had gone to the magic show the night before :)

It was still raining when we were finished with breakfast but I suggested we take a hike to the observation tower anyway since it might be nice if it wasn't so hot which was the plan when we left the resaurant. Clayton made an announcement that certain excursions had been canceled and what was still available to do. Thankfully we had nothing planned but exploration so we were on no time schedule except needing to be back to the ship on time.

Overall it was a nice breakfast with lots of choices but I really liked the sit down better since they brought you your food. I really was enjoying being pampered.

to that wonderful vacation. I'm lol'ing at the "lavenous" comments.

My family and I went to Cabanas every morning but now wish we would have went to a sit-down breakfast.

We were pretty bummed when we were in Cabanas and looked out the window and it started raining.

I've been looking through your pics to see if I can spot my family, lol. In the theater ones, I know where we were sitting but can't really make us out.

Looking forward to the rest.

Lovely pics! I agree with your opinion on taking advantage of being pampered and going to sit-down breakfast, but it is fun to see the differences between the night and day in the EG.

All that means is that now you must go back and try the sit down breakfast :) Any excuse to go back is a good one for me :bitelip: It really was such a wonderful vacation! We went to Cabanas the next morning which I thought was delicious also.

For some reason I wasn't worried about the rain at all, I was just so excited to finally be there I knew it would be alright.

Lots more pictures, you still might be in some of them.

Thank you :)

Absolutely, no doubt about it, I wanted to see everything so it was fun to see the differences.

On the way to the room we saw Captain Hook and Smee.

So we got back to the room and mom suddenly changed her mind. Why not wait until it stops raining to go out, we could do the Midship Detective Agency instead. Ok, we were going to do that sometime anyway so why not. But I went out on the verandah to look at CC again, and it wasn't raining, what was she talking about. Was she trying to get out of our walk to the obsevation tower.... she claimed not, so off the boat we went. Got a little lost because you have to go down to deck 1 but it is not connected for guests to walk from one end to the other so we had to go back to deck 2 beg directions, and had to walk to the other side of the ship and back down to deck 1. When we were leaving our room someone told us to remember our photo IDs. Well since I had never read that before we didn't have them so back to the room we went and then never needed them anyway. You only need your photo ID if you loose your KTTW card. Just know where it is at all times and you're good to go.

I took oodles of pictures of CC so here goes.

They handed us each a towel as we left the ship, and there were more towels on CC if you needed them. It was still sprinkling so I had my towel over my head, that was until some Bahamians started laughing at me and I realized I wasn't going to die if I got wet.

Inside the Post Office. This is one place you will need some cash if you want to mail postcards. We bought five cards and stamps and decided to fill them out later. There is a drop box outside if the post office is closed. You do have to buy the stamps so we did it right them because I had read it closes at strange times.

Nice warning sign.

We decided to take the tram. You can walk to the beaches but we knew we'd be doing plenty of walking and wanted to save our strength.

You have to change trams to get to Serenity Bay, and it was my understanding that it would be less walking if we started from there than at the point where we had to switch, but I asked a CM and they said no, the path starts right here to go to the observation tower so we didn't continue on to SB. Big mistake. It added at least 20 minutes. This might not seem like a lot but my feet hurt so bad at the end of the walking adventure those 20 minutes would have helped ease my suffering.

All caught up! You have so many great photos! I'm glad that you did get some blue skies on your CC day, too bad about the unnecessarily long walk though… Can't wait to see more!

I saw my book bag on the chair in the post office! That was my husband's arm. We were the only ones in there until you arrived, lol!! I was filling out postcards to send to my neices and nephews back home (that they still haven't received, lol). That is such a coincidence! I was with my husband, 2 daughters and son.

We took the tram to the part of the beach by Pelican Plunge.

Beautiful pictures! Did you happen to notice if anyone was on scooters at Castaway Cay? I'm just wondering how mobile someone needs to be to get around...I'm hoping we can go there again someday!

We rented bikes to get to the observation tower, which made for less walking.

BTW, amazing flower pics!:lovestruc

Our postcards havnt been delivered yet either.

I think the only problem would be the sand but there are paved pathways everywhere. They do have big wheeled wheelchairs for the sand for free, first come first serve. I can't recall if I saw anyone on scooters but I don't think it would be a problem at all. It is such a fabulous place I hope you can get back there soon :)

I had thought about the bikes but we didn't think it would be such a long walk so decided against them. I definitely wished we had them when some people rode past us so swiftly.

Thank you :) lots more to come, I loved all the beautiful flowers.

It could have been raining cats and dogs, but after seeing those beautiful flowers, it would have been as if the sun was out...
I LOVE YOUR PICTURES!!!
keep it coming

Great pics of CC
We biked to the observation tower so I know that's a pretty long walk!

Pam I am loving your trip report. Your photos are great, so enjoying all of them, but expecially seeing the flowers and all the nature. It sure appears to be a VERY long walk you and your mom had to do. :sad2: Especially since it was not necessary, that CM needs some training or a good dunking in the ocean. :rotfl:

Looking forward to the next installment.

Thank you :goodvibes lots more to come, especially when we get to the Flower & Garden Festival. I was having fun finally figuring out done of the camera settings.

I had no idea what I was getting us into. I would have missed all the beautiful foliage if we had rented bikes but we just kept thinking how much longer can this go. other than my feet hurting it was a really nice walk.

Thank you so much Ann :) I'm really enjoying this.

And we havnt even gotten to the entrance of the observation tower path. That CM steered us so wrong!

I was worried I had too many nature pictures, but I can't bear to leave any out. I figure I'm giving you guys a private walking tour to the observation tower :) lots more to come.
