We are currently booked for the Western Cruise on May 6, 2006. However, if friends of ours decide to cruise with us, we will have to move to mid-June as she is a kindergarten teacher--actually my son's teacher!!

So, exactly how hot is it in June? Are we going to die of heat stroke? Is there enough breeze from the water that it really doesn't feel as bad?

We went in June of last year and had a wonderful time. The only time I really felt the heat was walking around at Key West. The water temp. was perfect at the other ports.

If you do change, join us. June 24 with a double dip of CC, Cozumel and Costa Maya. There is no stop in Key West on this one!!!

We've done 2 Wonder trips and an Eastern in June. I'm not sure how different the temps are from the Eastern to the Western, but we didn't have any problems with the weather being uncomfortable.

aliwas....June 19th Western? Sounds exactly like what we had. Key West was a brutal day. Cozemel was hot but very tolerable.

To the OP...temps were warm not scorching, humidity was definitely managable. Snag one of those blue chairs on Deck 4 on the shady side and you're all set.

drclaws- it was the June 19th Western! We had been to Key West the year before at the end of May and it was just as hot. I really enjoyed the other stops, though. Perfect beach weather, not walking weather.

We are cruising June 10th, 2006 so I am also interested in any input???? :flower: We are kind of used to the heat in St. Louis ...it can get pretty bad and HUMID!!!!! :earseek:

I'm a kindergarten teacher too! :goodvibes I always cruise in June. BUT that will all change after this year. We will not get out of school until mid-June beginning next year. I live in NC so I am used to hot, humid weather. I've gone on 2 Eastern cruises and 1 Western cruise in June. Key West was the hottest place I think I've ever been. I enjoyed the cruise though. Cozumel was hot, but not unbearable. Grand Cayman was no problem. The sea days were wonderful as always. If I ever do the Western again, I doubt I'll even get off the ship in Key West. It's still part of the US so no duty-free shopping. I also didn't like the atmosphere in Key West. Very un-Disney like. I know Disney can't control the people there, but it was just different from the other ports. I wouldn't worry about the weather though. I think you'll have a great time! :flower:
