Currently, I am researching some pricing in February and April (when the kids have vacation). I've search and have read a lot of feedback about not going in January, but can anyone give me what their experience has been cruising during these months? I'd like to find out about the 4 night cruise to the Bahamas, but also interested in the Caribbean. Thanks for your help!!!! :earsboy:

just curious about what you heard about January and why not to cruise then. Do you mind sharing?

We love cruising in January. Seas are fine, not too rough. Very warm, water temps were fine for us. Weather was perfect. Only rain we experienced was for a few minutes while on St. Maarten. We are able to swim at each port (St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Castaway Cay) and on the ship each day. Not sure what you have heard about not going in January. We are from New England and getting away from the cold to have the hot temps is perfect to recharge. I believe February is very similar temp and weather wise.

We have cruised both Feb and April. We had a great time on both cruises. The water at CC was a little chilly in Feb, but the weather was great. The seas were very calm in Feb. The weather in April was windy which prevented us from enjoying long hours at the pool while cruising. CC in April was wonderful. The water was perfect, but the sun became a bit too warm and left the beach early. We experienced some rough seas during our April cruise, but nothing that caused motion sickness. For us April was cheaper then Feb. Our vacation weeks are the third week of Feb and April. The year that we cruised in April, Easter was early. I am not sure if that has anything to do with it, but we have found vacationing that week in April is usually fine unless it is around Easter. We will be cruising Feb 2006.

Hope this helps :)
