Cruise waitlist

We have had a couple of cruisers join our thread that were waitlisted and now are booked.

Once you get closer to the 60/90 day cancellation period - there maybe more people dropping off.

We were on the west/east repo cruise in a cat 5 but decided to cancel because the school district changed the high school's start date. Our son will be a freshman and would miss the first two weeks of school. Needless to say, we were all disappointed. However, we figured we had nothing to lose by putting our names on the waitlist for the east/west repo cruise. Right after we did this a colleague of my husband's found out that he could cruise the repo cruise in a cat 9 after being on the waitlist for about 6 weeks. So we are still hoping...... :boat:

yes, when we were on DCL Wonder for New Years, another couple next to us were on that waiting list. the cruise director told them to speak with her after our little chat about future cruises because they had some openings. it also seems like alot of schools decided to change their start and finish dates so more people are dropping off the list. GOOD LUCK !!!

Yes, we got on!!!! I had waitlisted for "any" category. All that was available when I got called was 11 or 12. I didn't care....we took it!!!! Still ecstatic and can't beleive we're going!!!

I was checking the DCL website to see if the shore excursions have been posted for the west coast cruises ... and as a goof - put in a request for a quote for both of the Repo Cruises -- and they gave me limited cat's for both.

I would either call DCL & ask - or go on the wesite today and try to book. :jumping4:

since they have not exhusted the waitlist, I'd be willing to bet you could not successfully finish a booking online

We successfully booked the East West repositioning cruise (May 14 - May 28th) after being on the waitlist.

I have to say the day I received the call was a "great day"! I was called in October after being on DCL's waitlist (for both repositionings) since June or July. I was waitlisted on two different categories on each of the repositioning cruises.

If you are already waitlisted, check on adding your name to another category.

Best of luck and join us on the cruise meets threads!

Laurie

Every other time I checked for booking the repo cruises (to see the differences in the prices) - I always got an "Oops - there are no bookings available for that date".

Today -- they did list a couple of staterooms....

DCL - should go through the waitlist's first then offer new bookings online.
