So next year is a milestone b-day, and it is 6 days before Christmas. For those of you who cruise, do WDW regularly for Christmas -- which would you do: Birthday on cruise, Christmas at WDW OR WDW then cruise over Christmas? We are a family of 3 -- DH, DD 14, and me.

I'm leaning toward cruise then WDW but I'm asking for some help from my experienced DIS friends.

Thank you in advance.

Cruise first and then enjoy the space at WDW. Those cabins are pretty small.

I would do WDW first since it is anything but relaxing. Then cruise and relax!

But others might suggest to cruise second, because it's more relaxing than a WDW trip, especially at this time of year. It also might be difficult to go from the probably balmy weather of a tropical cruise to the possibly chilly Orlando in winter.

It's a really good point about the size of the cabin, though!

I personally really loved doing cruise first, then WDW. We did it in March and are doing it again in February. I feel like it would be a huge letdown to go from the cruise ship to the airport. Going from the parks to the airport isn't quite as bad because I've been walking for days and am ready to be home in my own bed :goodvibes

My DW has a milestone birthday next October and we are staying one night at SSR before a cruise.

Then we board the Disney Cruise bus to Port Canaveral for five nights on the Wonder with two stops at Castaway Cay.

We get back on board the bus and then stay six nights at BWV. :goodvibes

I don't think you can go wrong either way you do it! :thumbsup2

If you usually spend a lot of time running around the parks at WDW, I'd do that first. Then use the cruise afterward to relax.
