Whos been on a disney cruise?

On the ship, will i be able to use my uk DEBIT card to open the account they charge to, it has a visa sign on it (barclaycard),will they accept it or do i need to bring my credit card as well?

i was planning on leaving my CC at home to avoid temptation ! lol, but i needed to check first.

as far as i'm aware as long as it has the visa sign on it it should be fine, my dad has the card your talking about and he uses it all the time when on holiday

Check first with your bank about charges - mine (Halifax) charges a £1.50 service charge for every foreign currency transaction so if you use it a few times it can get costly.

Have a look at Nationwide - Buisness rate of exchange and no foreign tranaction charges

bit late to start changing banks now ....lol
anyidea about barclays charges ?

Sorry I can't help you Terri, we use Amex. I hope someone is able to help you

we was with the woolwich before they changed, so last time we went it was them not barclays , i know they didnt charge extra when you used the card, but am unsure about barcays.

As far as the cruise thing goes i thought id ask as it says credit card all over my paperwork no mention of debit card.!

someone from uk must have used a debit card right ......?

I've had no problem with our Nationwide Credit OR Debit card on the ships.
