Hi
I was wondering when you get the cruise packet to fill out and bring with you. Is it mailed or just online? We are leaving for FL on August 12 and doing the August 19 cruise. This is the first one and I am getting confused and worrying about having everything I need. :confused3 :confused3 :scared1:

Welcome to DCL and to this forum!

Your cruise documents should arrive 2-3 weeks before your cruise. They will be mailed to your home. You may fill out many of the forms online at the DCL website, as well as make reservations for shore excursions, spa services and Palo, if you wish.

We're cruising on Aug 12, but arriving in WDW on the 5th. I was a bit concerned about getting what I needed since this is our first cruise and I didn't want to mess anything up. So, I printed out what was printable on the cruise website for my reservation. Then, I called DCL and talked to someone about when to expect my packet. He told me they send them out 2 weeks-10 days before the cruise. But, that if something happened to mine, then I could still get everything I needed at the port.

Thanks for the info guys I knew I could count on you to ease my mind:cool1: :cool1: :dance3:

We leave on the Wonder on Sunday, and our packet arrived last week on Monday - so almost exactly 2 weeks prior to when we leave. I wouldn't worry about it just yet. :)

we sail on the Wonder on July 15th and our docs arrived today.....:cool1:

does anyone know if the same time scale applies to UK travellers?? We will be flying out 5 days before the cruise and if they send the documents only 2 weeks before to international guests as well, then we might not receive them before we travel:eek:

Is there anything in them that we actually need or can we do everything online???:thumbsup2

Does anyone know if they are sent directly to me or will my TA forward them?

TIA

You probably want to call DCL up about that. If they expedite them you will be fine. I'm pretty sure someone on these boards has had that done. Our local post office quotes 7 - 10 days for mail to UK. Alternately perhaps you could get them to hold them for you at you resort destination? Most of the forms can be done online, but there is something that needs signing and presented at check-in. Not sure if you can retrieve that at the terminal or not. I think it might just be the credit card authorization thing.

Most forms can be filled out online. You will need to print out and sign the credit card authorization form, or you can do that at the port when you check in.

Passengers with a stop on Castaway Cay will have to fill out one Bahamas immigration form per person in your party. These are not available online, but will come in your packet of documents.

If, for any reason, you do not receive your packet before you leave home, any forms you need will be available at check in, so don't worry.

not to worry anyone but the tags for the luggage comes with the paperwork and you need those before you get to the port. I recommend if you do not have them one week befpre you leave for vacation that you call DCL to confirm that they have been sent and went they were sent. DCL was great and calmed me down when I feared I might not get my paperwork in time. This year I leave 8 days before my cruise to go to WDW. I have my fingers crossed. I will be calling if I don't have then at least 7 days before we fly out.

Do as much as you can on-line, print out the DCL contract to take with you to the port. DCL told me there is absolutely nothing in the packet that they can't replace at the port. Basically, it has info, your immigration form, and your luggage tags...everything can be had at port.
I did all the credit card stuff on-line.
