Cruise-DLR transportation?

Is anybody going on one of the cruises next year with a port of Los Angeles (Alaska or Mexico) that is planning on bookending the cruise with a trip to DLR? If so, do you know if they will have shuttles either to or from the resort from the port (which I'm assuming is Long Beach)? If not, will we be able to book shuttles from the ship? They seem to have this thing down between WDW and Port Canaveral but I can't find any solid information regarding West Coast details on the DisneyCruise website. So glad they're bringing the ship out to this neck of the woods since Florida is just too far to fly!

We are cruising MR in February. We are starting off with a day or two at Disney, but I am sorry I can't help you with the shuttle info, we are driving down.

As far as I know the Disney ship is using San Pedro not Long Beach. There are usually shuttles that you can arrange from the port which will take you to DLR or the airport. Prime Time Shuttles can be prebooked online. San Pedro will be LA Cruise Ship Terminal in the drop down menu.

You can also book shuttles through DCL for airport - DLR, DLR - port (San Pedro), port - airport.

Past experience is that DLR knew nothing about these transfers and we had to go through DCL.

As aristocat65 said, Primetime shuttles can be booked for transportation to the ports.

We drove from Disneyland to the Long Beach port that Carnival uses and it was a pretty straight forward 20 minute drive on a Monday mid morning.

We are going in October but I haven't put much thought into how we are going to get there. I guess I should start figuring it out. It's only about 2.5 hours away, but I also don't want to pay a lot of $$ to leave our car. We may have family drop us off and pick us up.
