Cruise discounts for FL residents?

I would like to book our 1st cruise...are the FL discounts good?
Would a 7 day cruise be too long for our first cruise? Children ages 7 & 9.

FL resident discounts rock!
7 days is just right - we spent 1 1/2 days at WDW before the cruise & 1 1/2 day after and it was perfect!

Hi from Navarre.

Disney usually doesn't release resident rates until 2-3 months out. You can book earlier and they will adjust your rate when they come out, though. I have heard they often don't do them at peak time, although we never travel then so I am not sure. Webmaster Michelle or someone else might be able to confirm or deny that.
