When I'm in my car, about 75% is highway driving. I use my cruise control whenever the traffic is not too heavy. Late one night I was heading home with my adult dd and was stopped for going 68 in a 55. When the policeman walked away the first time, I told her I couldn't have been, I had it set at 65!! Needless to say, it was set at 55 until I could get on the other highway. I was so thankful I only received a "warning".

Whenever I'm in a situation where it can be used (e.g. long highway drives with little traffic). :)

Only on the highway (which is often) and when the traffic isn't heavy. The only think I don't like about my current cruise control is there is no "cancel" button. I have to hit the breaks or turn it off to disengage it.

I rarely use it. Traffic is hardly scarce enough for me to be comfortable using it.

Never - my vehicle doesn't have cruise control.

Often. I use it consistently whenever I'm on a highway. I have the kind that takes brakes to disengage, but I use it on any long-distance driving. I usually set it about 4-5 miles above the speed limit, and that seems to keep me consistent with the traffic flow.

I also use it in town all the time. There are two long stretches on the way to the schools my children attended. The police are notorious for pulling speeders, because drivers are notorious for speeding. I set my cruise control at 35 on those roads as soon as I get on them, because I am careless if I'm late to school and I know I would creep up!!!

I use it if I am on a exntended driving trip and need a break for a while from keeping my foot tensed on the pedal. I don't like it much though, because I feel like I am not in control of the car when I am using it, which I know is nuts, but that's my "thing".

My DH uses it pretty much whenever he drives on the highway.

I never use it. I have messed with it a time or 2 over the years, but that's about it for me. Hubby never uses it either.

I'm between often and rarely. So I guess sometimes. :teeth: I use it basically whenever I'm on the interstate, but not driving through a town or city. Like, this weekend we drove downtown and I even though the traffic wasn't heavy, I didn't put the cc on. But, driving through the middle of rural MO, I'll use it.

I never use it. It makes me feel too much like a passenger. I'm afraid of being a lazy driver.

I feel the same way. I'm afraid of my reaction time being too impared.

I use mine every day, as I commute 43 miles to work. Most of my drive is rural, so not a lot of traffic issues. Part of my drive is 60 mph & another part is 70. I put it as close as I can to exactly the speed limit & cruise on down the road.

:car:

I only use it when I know there will be an extended period where I will not have to use the brake. In Washington that isn't very often. I would use it more if I could.

I had a 90 mile stretch on a main highway when I drove home from college. Used it a lot then.
