Cruise Casual is apparently so confusing even Disney can't figure it out?

Under My Reservations -> Packing List:

Dinner attire is "cruise casual," meaning no shorts, swimwear or tank tops. Diners at Palo or Remy, the adults-only restaurants, will want to dress more formally than when dining at our other restaurants.

Under the Q&A for Dress codes:

Q. Are there dress codes or guidelines regarding dressing for dinner?

A. In general, most onboard dining locations are "cruise casual,” so casual attire, such as shorts and T-shirts, is permitted, with the exception of swimwear and tank tops.

Which one is it? I must know! I haz no room for packing extra! (I am assuming they won't kick me out for shorts, but they really should get their message straight! My wife and I had a disagreement over text because of it. Disney! Breaking up families everywhere! jk! It was a very minor disagreement. But still - the theory is sound!)

Shorts are acceptable in the main dining rooms for dinner. It changed about a year ago. Apparently they didn't change all the locations that the information is to reflect that change.

Ahhh. So that explains it! Thank you! I hugs you now!

Eek! They don't have my hug smiley! Why don't they have my hug smiley? I guess we'll have to settle for a group hug. Everyone quick! Pile in! :grouphug:

On wait.. there it is. Next to the group. I just missed it.. There you go. Sorry... crisis averted!

You will see just about everything being worn in the MDR's for dinner. Never seen anyone turned away (except at Palo)
